Thats what this thread is about. The WashPost guy and the Huff post guy. Come on man.

All TV were told to stop filming. Alderman French was arrested. The tab is going up.
Police cant make TV crews stop filming. They can ask them to move but they cant tell them to stop filming. Curious that the local Fox,CBS and NBC affiliates here in town all had live video at the scene on the late news casts.Did you catch the local late news tonight?

Taking a picture in a McDonald's is promoting a reaction?
this isn't just some random scenario. a lot of bullshite is happening and i bet that journalist (1) wasn't exactly cooperative and (2) took the picture in a way to frick with the cop
let's not start acting stupid and pretending that the non-police are acting in a way to avoid confrontation

Did you even watch the video? Its a load of shite. If what I saw was the right video then the cop did nothing wrong

As to the arrest of the journalists: LINK
As to how else to handle it, well not by using tear gas. That just adds more fuel to the fire. It helps accelerate this toward something really ugly. I am no expert of riot control but other situations in the US and in Europe seem to have been handled better.

I stand by that journalists and cops are equally self serving.
Maybe so. I still trust journalists over cops though.

i'm not supporting the police state here, but this isn't even a story anymore. it's just protesters and media doing things on purpose to cause a police reaction, then trying to use that reaction as proof of some bigger point
I wish all these faux outrage threads would die. It's just "omg bottles thrown" followed by "shite is getting real" for 30 pages. Wasted server space.

Not leaving when you are asked to leave is, videoing the police while you put up your faux outrage over the injustice while the police are trying to move you with the rest of the journalists to a safer location.

if there is a bigger group of count than the police, it's the media

Ehhh, OK maybe in this particular situation. Results may vary, though.

Why do you trust the cops so much? I'm REALLY surprised at you.

because the other side is a self-serving journalist, who is less credible

He was not arrested you dufuss.
Umm, yeah they were arrested. But they were released after it starting making the rounds on social media.
They were released when another journalist called the Ferguson chief and asked why they were arresting journalists.
Chief's exact words: "Oh God."
Journalist gets released.

We get it, Toddy. Homosexuals hate law enforcement.
