If tweet fails to load, click here. I honestly can't tell if this was supposed to be a schtick and he was being sarcastic. It's legitimately hard to tell.
Side note. The Hungarian journalist is easy on the eyes.

...and she's looking at Jon saying to herself "You are so full of sh!t."

has to be sarcasm, he can’t be that dumb

He’s a self proclaimed comedian who’s never been funny until he said this.

That has to be sarcasm.

Why doesn't he use his real name?
Posted on 3/12/25 at 6:17 am to burger bearcat
He is part of that media apparatus trying to do just that thing, lol

If he really did this segment it's fairly obvious satire. Sorta looks dubbed though.

My name is Jon Stewart and I live in an alternate reality.

I think most media members truly believe what Stewart said. They see themselves as the warriors for good, pushing their woke propaganda and sometimes they must bend the truth and outright lie to push their agenda but they are justified because they are the good guys.
This is why they use the phrase “Right side of history” so often.

It's obvious sarcasm, guys.
Clearly, he is suggesting decades-targeted Fox is the news organization that "knowingly & explicitly creates lies & fiction and will manipulate facts to maintain power", and that the "authoritarian" is Trump, who most recently called for Nicole Wallace & Rachel Maddow to be "fired" just last week, but also last summer called for ABC executives to fire everyone in the news department bc of the biased debate moderation.

Stewart is a progressive, therefore, he is a trained, shameless liar.

Two things:
1. He was being sarcastic, likely he was referring to Trump and any non-left-leaning US outlet. I haven't listened to him, but I doubt he's been railing against the Jake Tappers in the media who effectively enabled the people running Biden to assume the Presidency, nor talking about how the Biden campaign and administration pressured (not that much was needed, it seems) social media outlets to limit various speech Biden & Co didn't agree with (COVID vaccine limitations, for example).
2. She was giving him a look which bounced back and forth between "you are obviously full of shite and too egotistical to know it" and "I know you're being sarcastic but I'm not going to call you on it".

Here's the thing, he could be sarcastic but he's such a smug leftist that it doesn't come off like that

That’s some good comedy.

This is a pretty old clip. As far as sarcasm, he was laying it on pretty damn thick. Definitely sarcasm.

It's hard to tell with the Colberts, Kimmel, Stewart's, etc. As they do the "clown nose on, clown nose off" routine, where they get to bounce between being serious and making jokes.

Truly can’t tell if it’s sarcasm…but he’s a piece of shite…so maybe he’s serious.
