Everyone should be emailing his office 25/7 re Senate leader vote.
As much as I like the guy, he will lose many supporters if he doesn’t vote for R Scott. This is not the time for him to get CUTE!

I've beat the drum against Bill Cassidy for a long time. If I have to beat the drum on both of them, so be it. I like John Kennedy but he's been at the trough a looooooooooong time. Personally, that's a red flag to me. Serve the country but then go do something else.

He was just on Fox. All he said was they need to go through the formal process instead of anointing a person. Each candidate is supposed to propose their agenda and vision. Kennedy said it needs to be aligned with Trump.

Trump himself? No.
Musk and I think a couple other close Trump allies have come out in favor of Rick Scott.
I'll be very curious if Trump does risk political capital coming out in favor of one Senator, at the risk of alienating someone else who could win and he'd have to work with during his term.
I know Trump has a reputation of being "unconventional" in how he operates, but there's also times where he does temper himself. This may be one of those times.

The ballot will be secret and no one will know how he voted. That is very unfortunate and sends a very clear signal to us regarding how the feel about the people they serve.

Kennedy was just reelected two years ago. He still has 4 years left on his term. The average voter has the memory of a fruit fly.
Only the most fanatical Poli Board posters will even remember who he supported for majority leader in 2024.

The lack of transparency sucks for the American taxpayers, but it's been this way for a long time, and part of the reasoning seems to also be so that whomever wins doesn't know who voted against him/her.

He isn't up again until 2028. I'm pretty skeptical that a 2024 GOP leadership election will play much of a role in his electoral chances
