Exactly. Argentina has shown they can be scored on this WC. Their best player doesn’t really defend much but is deadly in possession.

Kind of.
In the same way it is also the point of football to beat the defender.
And there is also offside in football.
Receivers cannot just go stand in the end zone before the play. That would be dumb.
But unlike football, soccer is continuous play, not set plays. So offside has to be applied differently in soccer from when the ball is played forward. But it is a similar concept.

Pat McAfee was less than enthusiastic about this whole thing on his show today. Basically said Rocco’s manager acted like an a-hole. Like you should consider yourself lucky to be able to give Rocco’s thousands of dollars.
It was borderline by DOGSO rules but I like the red card there. Give me rule interpretations favoring goal scoring all day every day.
How the hell are you one on one in extra time up 2 men? Ridiculous.
