Judge not, lest you be judged.

I get SO tired of seeing so-called Christians misuing this verse as an excuse not to call out sinful behavior. That verse is referring to judging someone's motives, not outright sinful behavior!

Convenient, no?
God’s words are timeless. He doesn’t change—His character doesn’t change—and He cannot lie, so whatever He speaks, even through men, it is true. That's very convenient for trusting Him.

Tired old line really.
Be human. Judge. We judge our children and their behavior and punish accordingly. Why not judge everyone else and their behavior. What is wrong or odd about that?
We are part of God's evil game. He wants us to worship and love him or he sends us to the pits of Hell forever. What kind of entity does that to his children?? I wouldn't do that to my son. How could you? That's batshit crazy. That's honestly evil.
Love me or I'll torture you for eternity for not worshipping me.

Signed,
Bluestem75 and all the rest of us on Poli Board who wish posters would separate their politics from their religious views a little better.
For those who are devoutly religious, our religious beliefs inform our political opinions just like a secular humanist may have his secular humanism inform his own political opinions.
Since politics is so intertwined with morality and morality is so intertwined with religion, it is unreasonable to fully separate religion and politics.

Just like Trump is not "a good man" because of his actions against multiple women. And of course his 34 charges he was found guilty on by the jury.

And if you don't love Jimmy Carter, you're not a Christian.

As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.

He was a fricking idiot.

I mean, I'm not taking up for Carter but the "good man" label is splitting hairs.
One of my best friends, like a brother to me, is atheist agnostic and is honestly one of the best people I know. He's empathetic and VERY family-centric oriented, and would give a complete stranger the clothes off his back if they genuinely needed it.
Being a good man and a "good Christian" are two different things depending on your perspective.

We need a Religion Board. If we don't get one, the Political Talk Board will again morph into being the de facto Religion Board. It's only a matter of time.

I never said that.
I will say that Amy Carter was in violation of our high schools hair regulations when she was a senior.

I think he was a good person but I definitely do not agree with him on some issues for sure he was a very good president but certainly better than what we hv had for last 4 years.
