Saban had a lot more to deal with in terms of NCAA policy. Bear was in the Wild West so to speak. But in each of their respective contexts they dominated. Bama has had a lot of great coaches in their history and the Top 2 GOATS.

No way. Lane will be there at least 6-7 years. He will win at least 1 NC. But when the wheels start coming off about year 5 it is going to be a glorious Lane Train Wreck and LSU fans will want to tar and feather him.

What level of cope is this? Perhaps the increases are a product of a national focus on the race, increased spending, Trump endorsing a candidate, all of which raised the profile locally of the race, which in turn drove more voters to the polls. The attention on this race would certainly increase turnout, especially for those motivated to vote against Massie. The voters obviously wanted Massie out, thus he lost.

Playing 14+ games a year doesnt make 4 loses as bad as in the past. Bama made it to the SEC title game, 2nd round of the playoffs and lost to the national champs that everybody lost too. Bama had a good season year. Their oline and running game kept it from being a great season.

If DeBoer can get improved production at the Oline level that would be huge. That would help the running game and Bama has some good RBs this year, young, but good. Bama's defense could be very special this year. I would not be surprised to see this Bama team playing in the NC game.

I am sure Kiffin will snag one NC at LSU. They also know he will probably move on to the next shiny thing and burn every bridge in Baton Rouge. But I would assume they are ok with that because while he is there LSU will be a threat in the playoff more times than not.
