Why would women like Talarico to that extent?

Because they're told to.

OWLFAN is not going to like seeing this thread. Apparently he has made 5 bets on the outcome of this race - although he cannot remember who he made those bets with, but by God, they're all losers whoever they are.

I gamble but you have to be a real degenerate to get on Kalshi or polymarket and then spout off from bets made.

The idea that a flaming heretic leftist could get elected to one of two Senate seats in Texas is wild. We are fvkd if this happens.

The fact it is this close is bad enough. I am relying on the fact that many voters are not paying attention and won't make up their mind until the last few weeks.

But weren’t they probably told not to like Trump in 2024? That’s what I heard was going to do him in, suburban soccer moms and such. I think they actually voted more for the Republican than in some time.

He's ahead in one poll and behind in most of the others. This is definitely going to be close

I am trying to figure you out. It is apparent that you are an old school Bush republican that was is the circles of Texas politics. What are you now? It appears that you hate the idea of the RINO extinction. We all get that Paxton is not the best candidate but his republican opposition was crap also. So what is the obsession with seeing Paxton get beat by a socialist? Is this a “I triple dog dare you moment from A Christmas Story movie” that you are hell bent on coming to fruition?

There isn’t a scenario in the world of polling manipulation wherein showing a party or candidate being behind that could benefit that party/candidate?

It’s amazing that this is the best candidate the democrats could find in Texas.

None of the betting markets are buying this.

Haven’t really budged towards Paxton. Seems like a case of just ‘seeing what you want to see’, more than anything else.

I'm not saying he can't win -- Beto came terrifyingly close -- but I don't think he will

You talking about Owl?

Someone needs their money back if that’s the case. Harris County GOP wanted Cornyn so don’t let anyone lie to you.

That trek to that nut house (the same one Lina Hidalgo was admittted to) in Ohio didn't help his poll numbers either.

Pretty much confirmed what we all knew - Talfreako is a looneytoon. And after four years of Joe Biden, we're pretty much tired of politicians who peddle absurdity.

Beto was a much more viable candidate going against an equally shitty candidate in Cruz.

Beto went up against Ted Cruz…

Ted Cruz was not loathed across the state…

Cruz may not be the most endearing figure but he isn't Paxton. They are worlds apart and Cruz would crush Paxton in a head to head.

Talarico stands a chance because Paxton is that bad
