Your main complaint is about universal suffrage.

The basic problem is unchecked immigration. Lots of voters that are voting to destroy our system.

Our system is slow to change and it works well because it is slow to change. Does not change at the whims of today's hot topic. When Obama and Biden refused to enforce immigration laws upwards of 20M to 25M++ people flooded into this country virtually unchecked.

This all started with immigration. Idiots got voted in for supporting illegal immigration in bigger cities. This is 100% Obama and Biden's fault. System was overwhelmed with corruption at a pace no one understood. We are reaping the effects of that now.

Bottom line: we the people need to elect better congressional representation.

I agree, but my point is that approximately half of this country are immoral people who gladly vote for other immoral people.

The democratic underpinnings of our Constitutional Republic allow for that. They do not believe as you do, they do not think the same as you and they dont value the same things you do.

This is NOT reasonable people disagreeing about the details of policy or legislation.

Well, exactly what system are you talking about?

A constitutional republic?

Yes...with grass roots democratic underpinnings.

A constitutional, democratic republic is the best form that allows a people to thrive and gives them the best chance at maintaining it for a long time. But eventually any successful government will be victim to its own success, as the success spoils the people.

Right....but knowing that's where it is headed, would it not be better to address it now and salvage what can. Or would you prefer our children and grandchildren to simply go down with the ship we know is sinking?

So who would decide who is moral in your new government?

Morality isnt up for debate. We all know what is moral and what is not. The people in government would be those who already know this and live it every single day.

I understand your point, but I'm not trying to figure out who is to blame....we know who is to blame. The question is "What do we do about it?".

The Constitutional Republic is not the issue. It's those who run it.

Globalists seek to have dominant control and enrich themselves and are the pure evil of this century and the future.

The only option is Nationalism. People in Europe who allowed the Globalists to turn their countries into 3rd World playgrounds are starting to wake up and realize this. Hopefully not too late.

Given all the governing options used Worldwide, the American way is by far the best there is and ever will be.

If The People don't realize now that forfeiting any Freedom is simply not worth anything the Government can promise, then they deserve exactly what they receive.

“I strongly believe they are unfit to have a say in how the country is governed, but in our system they have the ability not only to vote, but to run for office and win.”

This is what every despot anywhere would say. The genius of our governmental form is that prevents you or—even worse from my perspective as a conservative—similarly minded people with different politics from having their way. Instead, minority rights are largely protected and other significant majorities or compromise required to make most big changes. This is even more so now thanks to the Supreme Court bringing us back to our proper understanding of the constitution by doing away with Chevron deference (and similar cases). Also, it is worth noting that the more Conservative Party currently controls the executive branch and both houses of Congress. Lose the doom and gloom. It’s contrary to the facts and unbecoming.

The founders were very specific on who they would allow to vote. Landowners. People with skin in the game.

Congress has watered that down to let anyone and everyone vote. That's why the system has gone to shite.

It would kinda make sense to have an additional vote for each child you have... Unless the government helps support them.

Public virtue is completely different from private virtue. Government is just a collection of tens of millions of individual decisions per day-and it's being done in a culture that has completely lost the script. It's ALL grey area in politics and governance in a two-party system in a representative Republic. Unlike our moral selves. Everything is impure and a compromise. It's making sausage. The sacred is for you and your family and friends-the profane is for government. It is on par with any other vice of man. Its the worst possible system-except for all the others.

Enjoy your family, your church, your friends and your community. That's where you find meaning.

Speaking in generalities like Globalism makes no sense. The problem is that more than half this country supports abortion, lgbtq nonsense, guaranteed income, Medicaid for all, socialism and communism. They vote that way. Either they need to change their hearts and minds (yeah right) or they need to be removed from the electoral system.

I do and also realize we are able to enjoy those things because of the freedom to do so. However, the same freedoms are weaponized by the left and their almost 200 million followers to destroy that for us. What are we gonna do?

So there were no evils in other countries or prior to the founding of the US?

I am going to let you in on a secret, humans are imperfect. You will never get a perfect system. But what you should strive for is one that is best for all people.

Capitalism has been that.

Oh you are just an idiot.

So why shouldn't they remove you from the system? They believe you are the immoral one.
