Our biggest problem is we’ve freedomed ourselves to death. The founders and framers were 100% correct in the bill of rights, every single one of them.

But we’ve allowed ourselves to have our liberties (specifically the first amendment) used against us to the point in which we are seriously fricked without going to drastic measures to secure this nation’s wellbeing and health in posterity.

This nation was meant for a specific people, for Western Europeans.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

In this country, I think we are rapidly approaching that time.

The problem is we mixed socialism with our Constitution. You take ss, Medicare, and medicaid out alone and we're just fine.

You could’ve left this out because this couldn’t be farther from the truth.
If you don’t see it, then there’s nothing i or anyone can say to you to open your eyes to the reality.
I see people say this all of the time about negotiations and it is so wrongheaded. I can’t believe anyone ascribes to that notion.

I guess it just sounds cool and makes you feel like you’re a moderate or something. Well, I guess you don’t understand about moderates.

The question is "What do we do about it?".

I've argued for years the best way to get from where we are to where we want to be is through a Convention of States and subsequent ratification of amendments that shrink fedgov so it fits back in the box the founders designed for it. Our system was expressly designed with a federal government with limited, enumerated powers and what we have now is ridiculous in contrast.

Our system was designed for most governing to be done at the state level and an Article 5 COS is the tool the founders gave the states to slap fedgov back into its constitutional role. The amendment(s) would limit how fedgov spends.

You do this, and if you can't get enough socialism, just move your arse to California, New York, etc. If you're a fan of capitalism, law/order, etc., find your state. That's the federalism we're supposed to have.

The founding fathers knew what would happen and they told us we would have to do from time to time.

The problem isn't the system, the problem is elected pieces of shite not following the system nor it's laws and intents as our Founding Fathers intended.
Bottom line: we the people need to elect better congressional representation.

One of the more common complaints around here is when people make the Trump administration follow the law

We used to have limited voter rights. Everything would be solved if stupid people were not allowed to vote. I suggest something very simple that would have amazing results: Adult males with an IQ over 115.

My guess would be that adult males with IQs over 115 have done more to derail this country that adult males with IQs under 90.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."

In this case, doing what needs to be done to win the fight against the commies who are exposing the flaws of our system.

The best system of government is a benevolent dictatorship where I am the dictator. I would clean up everything and then relinquish my powers back to the people to restart the Republic after modifying our foundational documents to slow this bullshite from happening again.

Government only exists to expand its own power. This is true for all governments, even ours. At least one FF understood this. The is where the "watering the tree of liberty" came from. Prosperity left us fat and lazy. Too fat and lazy to care about the massive growth of our government, on all levels. Our system used to be the best. Now it is just one of many. A system crumbling from neglect, populated by those who will use any means, tyranny included, to enrich themselves.
