Judging by some of the old men at bars, I'm not sure they'd agree with you there.

Some of those old men absolutely hit on young women young enough to be their granddaughters. Clearly, they're enjoying the pornography stupors of today.

Go to your local hooters and it isn't young men sitting in the bars. It's disproportionately middle-aged and older men lusting after women 30-40 years younger than them.

Many of them aren't young men. They're men in their 60s, 70s and a few in their early 80s. They're men who lived through this era of commitment yet are enjoying the era of today.

I take issue with your notion that somehow, old 'relics of the world' are somehow pure of heart. I can assure you as well, ask most young women in their 20s and they'll tell you exactly how old men have hit on them.

I went for a walk on saturday near a local club. Two old men were literally catcalling young women. If the morality of the 1950s era was so great, surely these old men who looked to be around about then would have refrained from catcalling these women.

There wouldn't be a concept of sugar baby/sugar daddying if old men didn't want to sleep with young women. Many of these old men (70s+) are married and have kids - where is this mythical commitment that you speak of?

The universal respect (1950s wasn't exactly a time of respect if you were in the wrong demographics) was just a mirage - if it had been socially acceptable back then, do you not think men back then would have been just as promiscuous as they are today?

I know someone who had a second family in the 1950s. It only came out after he died. It was a complete shock to his wife and 'first' kids. Tell me, where was this era of commitment for his wife who only learned that her husband had a 2nd family after his death?

Glad I don’t have a daughter. I don’t understand why all bathing suit bottoms are thongs now.

I don't know their ages, but what I do know: Fort Collins has a lot of lesbians.
The reason I know about this, maybe 12 years ago, I was there, eating at a restaurant by myself. Two good looking women came in and sat at a table close to mine. I wasn't married then, so I tried to talk to them, that was all I did. One of them went to the restroom and called the cops. The cops come in and she stands up and points me out to them. The cops come over to my table and ask me to walk outside with them. I did, even though I had no idea what was going on yet. He asked me why I was harassing those women. I told them that all I did was try to start a conversation, because they were good looking women, and I was there by myself.

Well the young cop, is really bothered by this, and asks me if I try to talk to women everywhere I go? I said " Yes, it's a free country and I'm not married. I try to talk to women everywhere I go." The older cop is amused by it all, and tells the young guy to calm down. He explains to me that Fort Collins has a lot of lesbians, and that these were 2 lesbians on their 1st date, and apparently 1 of them was the jealous type. He told me the reason why there are so many lesbians there at Fort Collins, but I can't remember it.

Our future chinese overlords will all but eliminate porn, i wouldn't be too concerned at the current 'fall of the empire' phase we are witnessing in regards to sexuality. It will pivot back in our lifetimes.

Slaves could be punished by their masters, including beatings, yet they could not be severe. If a master blinded a slave or knocked out a tooth due to being severe, they were commanded to let the slave go. Also if a slave were to escape, the rest of Israel were supposed to not return them to their master.

There certainly were different ways to acquire slaves and not all laws concerning slaves applied the same way, yet the laws were clear that slaves were not to be treated like the slaves in America were generally treated (as property with no limits placed upon their masters). This is important because when you or others talk about slavery in the Bible as a means to criticize the Bible, you do so with American slavery as the context instead of what it was back then.

Most slavery was like indentured servitude, so when you criticize, you should keep that in mind.

Even the slavery where people were taken in war was infrequent as there were some specific tribes within the land of Israel that this applied to and the alternative was death for them. Even so, all slaves still had some rights and the Israelite masters couldn’t treat them any way they wanted.

You are disingenuous because we already had this conversation. You know better now but you are pretending you don’t in order to criticize the Christian Faith, as if you had a moral leg to stand on. You don’t.
