In your opinion, what is the long term plan for how the US will handle Iran, and will US forces be required to watch the strait from this point forward?

I got no clue. I really thought the people would have risen up by this point. They had wide spread demonstrations less than 6 months before the war began so I figured they would be going crazy by now.

Still to many bad people with guns alive for regular people with no guns to do anything.

The war was over in March when Iran’s military was completely destroyed.

Their government has been playing a constant feed of American media trashing Trump from every possible angle - on Iranian state television. One could possibly see how the Iranian people may sorta have cold feet, after seeing so much bitter opposition and the appearance of complete lack of support.
“The regime” should send our MSM (sans FNC, I’m happy to report ) a Christmas card for their generous assistance. Even some among us have contributed to some degree.

I see plenty of medias trashing Trump in US. Not sure how that’s anymore different than over in Iran.

No one making decisions has any coherent plan.

Well if you can get past the OP lens of looking at everything in the next 30 minutes, you can see that the long term strategy is to get beyond the dick measuring phase and get to the phase of people actually eating food and buying shite. In that world, the Iranians will need to rejoin the economic community and stop literally blowing up trade.
I've never been a good guesser at how long people can hold their breath, but at some point everyone has to come up for air. When that happens, trade will resume and it will be like none of this ever happened.
Well, except for that little fact that the people on the inside of all of this on both sides will have a few billion extra dollars.

Make a deal with the next president just like they did Carter

When that’s ALL they have access to seeing, with nothing accessible to them that refutes the state programming; and clearly they’re not over here physically to see for themselves untruthful and inaccurate the reporting is on this - then the only picture they can draw in their minds is one of uncertainty and almost a whole and complete lack of support of these actions within our own country - why would they take the unthinkable risk of rising up and believing that “America is strong and unified and will support us in our efforts”?

The most famous war quote in George Orwell’s 1984 is: "The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous."

medias trashing Trump
Trump's unilateral arrogance and stupidity in prosecuting his war is full-scare trashworthy imo.

I dont understand it.
I dont see it quieting down or going away.
I can see it escalting.
Like Many others. I thought the country would be overthrown by now and under new leadership.
Reguardless, it looks bad, very bad on Trump.
