There will be a financial arrangement over the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman and that will be the end of the war. Aside from a ground invasion which is not going to happen, Iran has all the leverage over the Strait. the only way they relent is by securing money for the “control” of the Strait.
The details will take time to figure out because the US won’t just accept a toll-like arrangement. but it’s a concession we have to make if we want to move on. take the W on nuclear, take the L on the Strait, and move on.

History has taught us followers of Islam would rather be destroyed then bend against their religious beliefs. To Iran is a holy war and short of nuking the entire country they won't bend. The conflict will never end unless we pull back and cede concessions.

The part that irritates me the most is that there is zero evidence that Iran was ramping up its nuclear bomb ambitions in the months after their nuclear program was "obliterated."
I thought about this the other day when I realized I'm spending 300-400 dollars a month more on gas now than I was 6 months ago.
