100% Intentional

Who is behind it is undetermined but those who could stop it turned a blind eye. Some very powerful and rich people did not want DJT in power. They had the connections to take a shot. Sleepy Joe was not included as part of the scheme but then again he is also not included in any of the legitimate things that should be his to decide

Incompetence.

Its the direct result from a hire of someone that NEVER should have been in that position.

I was thinking incompetence until I heard the quote today about not posting agents on the roof due to the slope. Meanwhile where is a sniper team on a sloped roof that the entire world has seen. Nobody could be that incompetent.

I started by giving the benefit of the doubt that it was merely incompetence.

The head of the SS is doing everything she can to cast aspersions on the whole admin by how she is handling things.

If it was intentional, I think they would have had better/multiple shooters, because if you miss, you are going to play hell covering it up, especially if the guy you tried to whack becomes the president.

Now, was it intentional putting a small, possibly incompetent team around Trump? Absolutely. But I put some of that on team Trump. If you even suspect that you have a bunch of numbnuts responsible for your safety, you take some of your billions of dollars and hire as many badass operators as they say it will take to protect yourself and your family. Expecting the government to provide solutions to your problems is a little too marxist democrat for me.

I'm still on incompetence but they're stretching credulity the more that comes out.

Its always more comfortable thinking something accidental, incompetence, or random than evil.

I have no firm opinion at this time, but the USSS head’s excuse that the slope was too steep to cover strains credulity.

My gut was initially intentional. Now I lean heavily gross, shocking, unacceptable incompetence. I say this based on the record of hires by the left and the gradual erosion of competence across ALL levels of our federal government.

BUT, I would be 100% not shocked to learn it was intentional, whether it be intentional action to provide weak protection or direct recruitment of the shooter.
