Correct, it does not.
But it is an objective fact that the closing of public pools to prevent integration led to the popularity of private pool construction. This is a recent history issue.

Google "Palmer v. Thompson" and read about it. The US Supreme Court case is from 1971. The court held that the closure of public pools rather than allow integration was not a violation of the equal protection clause. The other thing the municipality did was transfer a couple pools to private ownership so that they could stay open and segregated. This case greenlit the closure of public pools all across the country, and especially the south, to make sure that non-whites couldn't swim with white people. And that led to a boom in construction of private pools.

You are correct that this case was decided five years before you were born. But damn, 1971 is not ancient history.
The amount of denialism in this thread is shocking. The video linked in the OP presents this as a historical issue, meaning this is the history of the situation. There is absolutely a racist and segregationist very recent history to the shift from large public pools to private pools.
