It's like that in SC... you're not supposed to wear any political item of clothing at the polling station.

These voting places have rules like my employment. Not suppose to wear any political attire.
Of course when Obama won, all the fat black women in my office showed up with shirts saying ‘Change’
I filed a complaint and my gay liberal boss said he won and he’s our president so it’s just supporting the current President.
So of course after Trump won, I get sent home with my Make America Great again shirt and was told no political attire at work.
It’s always (D)ifferent rules…

It’s like that in Cali, too. Political clothing, signs, campaigning, politicking within so many feet of the polling station is illegal.
