make america great hat or shirt or whatever is not a poltical item. It makes no mention of any candidate or party. Using that logic you could say the flag itself is political. You could deny anyone wearing red or blue because they could be thought to be political.

It is though. And that's okay... I have two 45-47 hats and an OG MAGA hat. And a glorious Let's Go Brandon shirt.
Here's the thing- people come to literal blows over political differences, I'd rather not wade through a brawl to cast my vote. It's a small ask, most people are okay with it.
Now.... I do have my own personal protest planned in the next couple of years. I have saved EVERY 'I Voted' sticker from every primary, runoff, and election- also have gotten family and friends to give theirs to me... one fine day I will show up to vote absolutely PLASTERED in I Voted stickers...
... when I do, I will take a pic and post it for y'all.

Refusing someone the right to vote over this is capricious and arbitrary.
