I ain't making $3M btw lol. I just see a lot of company tax returns based on my line of work and the majority of employers in Louisiana are around that size
ETA: One last thing, my sig pic is such that is compares JBE to two borderline mentally handicapped people. I've only ever voted Republican and kind of think all 542 reps are bought. There's no semblance of party politics in what I'm saying. If someone has better ideas, they should share them.
Who knows, maybe we can work together and find something that everyone agrees on. Which would be a novel idea in 2023

My daughter pulled this shite. We told her ok, & cut her off. She was in college at the time, living it up. We told her she didn’t need our money, the socialist can provide for her. She ended up getting two jobs, while in school, & eventually realized she & the socialists were wrong. Now she’s a good, hard working, money making, tax paying conservative.
It was hard, even broke my heart watching her struggle, but ultimately, it was for the best.

I could pay 35% on my taxable revenue and still be doing well.
You realize there is not a thing in the world stopping you from cutting the IRS a check for 75% of your taxable revenue, right? I mean, if it makes you feel better about it all why don't you?
Corporations by and large don't do a damn thing that isn't written onto the tax code. If they do, they are subject to having the IRS make their life a living hell.
Okay, so corporate tax rate is 35% like 5 years ago, because SCLSUMuddogs says that's a corporations "fair share." Who do you want to take the haircut? Do you also mandate that the corporation can't raise their prices? If not, the consumer takes the haircut, and the corporation may or may not be able to compete with the cheap shite and slave labor from China. Do you mandate that the corporation can't raise their prices, and must make their executives take the hit? If so, those executives who made the business work tell you to frick off and find work commensurate with their value to another company. Now what?

You seem like an angry individual. If I were to respond like you argue, I would say something like "Then how about we just say none of them pay any taxes and our economy crumbles! Now What??!?!" Which would make for some frustrating reading.
Compromise is the name of the game dude. There's really no other way around it. It's the same in politics as it is in marriage. You have to give and take, otherwise conversations will go nowhere, like this one

I would be angry, but that would imply there is hope for what we have going on. We have the most grotesquely bloated bureaucracy and government, spending money that we don't have on shite we don't want, need, or even know about most of the time, to the tune of trillions of dollars, and yet some people still think the answer is ever more taxation.

For sure some do, but to be clear, I do not. I listed a number of different things we should consider. The only reason I focused on corporate tax is because the OP's kid's biggest gripe was the gap between normal people and billionaires, not because I think it's the most important piece to fixing our economy.

I suggested to my liberal niece years ago about sharing her A+ grades with a failing student. She got really defensive saying she’s worked hard all her life for top grades and that would not be fair. Light went off for about 5 minutes but now she’s just a well off lib with a great job

Say what you will about greek life, but if your son is in a fraternity at an SEC school there is about a 3% chance he turns lefty

You have to train them at home, instill logic that shows the flaws in communism and socialism. If you don't teach them, the forces in media and education system will teach them their ways.
You have to educate kids throughout the years and contrast what media and education system teaches. Teach them critical thinking in these little mini-lessons as they grow up. The arguments of the left sound enticing but with critical thinking, they fall apart.

Why did you jump from NPC to the difference boycotting and cancel culture.
Because cutting off is the equivalent of boycotting, and his use of NPC would make it cancel culture. You progressive morons have thoroughly demonstrated you don’t understand the difference between those 2 things, and continue to do so in this thread.

Well, that's not clear at all. Unless I read someone else's proposal, yours was all about increasing taxation on evil corporations, even though those with a brain know that the increase in cost of business is always passed along to the consumer.

If it makes you feel better, it happened to me in college. I quickly grew out of it when I got a real job and real adult responsibilities. Think I was banging too many hippy chicks at Phish concerts.
