I hate to agree with Cenk Uygur but I think he's kinda right.

This morning I was watching a PBD clip from last night with PBD, Bill O'Reilly and Cenk doing a breakdown of the R massacre.

The final analysis by Cenk was the American people are sick of the establishment Democratic and Republican parties. They're sick of foreign entanglements, crony capitalism, and getting fricked over by their elected politicians and in the end they voted for progressive populism over MAGA/Trump.

Cenk then said something that was interesting. Cenk believes national politics going forward will be a struggle between populism from the left vs populism from the right. He may be right, most people I know who pay attention to politics on the right are moving away from the establishment DC Uniparty politicians, the Bushies, the Neocons, the NWO Globalists.

If Cenk is right it looks like the Recucklicans who were hoping to rid the Republican Party of America First are going to be a bit disappointed going forward.

Agree it’s the opposite side of the same coin

Trump squandered his mandate and paid for it last night

We may be in for a populist future, but with no Trump. The man needs to disappear and go drool over men's butts on the beach.

I mean he is absolutely right. How could anyone disagree with anything he said?

I think last night gave Cenk a bit of credibility with his final analysis.

Populism will continue to dominate because it (a) provides free rein to promise whatever people want to hear without any solutions grounded in reality and (b) can be much more easily propagandized through the media the masses now consume.

You mean we may get somebody to actually fight the war that the democrats have been waging the last 50 years?

I will believe that when I see it.

What is the motivation for decent people to actually run for office?

Cenk has had a pretty good feel for things last couple of years, especially on the ridiculous wars. But he’s not gonna like the next phase of right wingers. Populism was an appetizer.

The problem for R's this go around was the fact that this turned out to just be a campaign slogan and expired after just a few short months into Trump's 2nd term.

Thing is you can’t push “America First” and then get involved in another neocon like boondoggle in the Middle East.

Allowing the last year to become utterly bogged down in the "war", while the economy basically sat listless with no real improvement over the Biden years did him in.

Him and Ana Kasparian have been right about a lot of things lately. I would vote for Ana if she ran over any scumbag RINO POS.

God, I hate this crap.

Meanwhile, nobody debates actual policy.

I agree with most of that. Trump was a populist movement then he trended back towards establishment republican policies and his supporters abandoned him

Trump outside of the tariffs is governing like a man that wore the AF/MAGA coat like a Halloween costume to get elected and never had any intention of governing on its principals.

The Epstein scandal indicated he wouldn’t drain the swamp.

The Iran war indicated he was becoming the swamp.

His response to the questions from the base showed he thought he could do whatever he wanted and they’d accept it.

He didn’t deliver for his voters and now he’s being judged for it.
