Kentucky Lands Commitment From 7-Foot-5, Top-10 Basketball Recruit Cherif Millogo

Kentucky basketball landed a major commitment on Wednesday as Cherif Millogo, the No. 8 overall prospect in ESPN's 2027 recruiting rankings, announced his commitment to the Wildcats.

The 7-foot-5, 250-pound center from Burkina Faso currently plays at St. Francis High School in La Cañada Flintridge, California.

Millogo chose Kentucky after also taking recent visits to USC and BYU. He held offers from several major programs, including Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, North Carolina and Arizona.

The highly touted big man averaged 26 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks per game last season.

Millogo becomes Kentucky's second commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, joining four-star guard Ryan Hampton.

His commitment gives head coach Mark Pope one of the nation's top prospects as the Wildcats continue building their future roster.
