Now ain't that something.

So much for stealing second Telling one's own personal story is often the most powerful way to make a point, or, more importantly, to make people think. When grandiose statements entrenched in politically correct terminology are made, many may listen but few will hear.

When I hesitated in writing this column, I realized I was basking in hypocrisy. So instead I chose to write and risk.

New Year's Eve 1984 I will never forget. I was 15. As the ball dropped, I leaned over to hug a friend and she met me instead with an overwhelming kiss.

As we fumbled upon the bed, I remember debating my next "move" as if it were a chess game. With the "Top Gun" slogan ringing in my head, I slowly reached for her breast. After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my "mark."

Our groping ended soon and while no "relationship" ensued, a friendship did. You see, the next week in school she told me that she was drunk that night and didn't really know what she was doing.

While she liked me a lot, she said she just wanted to be friends. I have gotten used to those five words, but that's another column.

Ever since puberty, I remember receiving messages that sex was a game, a competition. Sexual relations were best achieved through luck, guile, strategy or coercion.

Another friend in high school counseled me on the importance of drinking: "With liquor you'll get to bed quicker," she said.

If that ever truly saw the light of day, that would leave a mark. But it won't.

Also, their talking point has been established. "We aren't talking about a Senator that has to face an election every 4 years. We are talking about a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land...."

Every single “ Progressive “ is phony. It’s a phony ideology for phony people with phony grievances . Please provide me with the name of one Progressive who is not a complete phony. I’ll wait.

Isn't he a homo?

Maybe it was the female rejection that made him that way.

It still is the same way and has been since men have been trying to find mates

Alcohol helps.

Top Gun came out in 1986. He was quite precocious to have the tune in his head 2 years in advance.

This was brought out during his original campaign for senate. No one cared. He was lauded for insightful reflection and his efforts to "change". This article was all over twitter again this week with the DEMs trying to justify it. Basically the argument was 'it's fine if you had a period as a rapist/homophobe/etc. as long as you pledge allegiance to the Democratic Party now'.

Exactly - the opposite if you are a conservative.

That's the absolute first thing I noticed. I thought "Damn. Top Gun came out in 1984? I didn't think it was that old". Turns out...it isn't.

Jesus, for people who lie for a living, these bozos are absolutely awful at it.
