What good are they if nobody is willing to use the technology?

Man is wicked.

So much brilliance waisted on shite that will never be used.

Obviously the hyperbole behind all this talk is that Russia and China have carrier busting technology. If this is true then it's pretty important. And if it is true what were Obama and Trump and the MI Complex doing to plan for it.

My guess is we have our own shite and if not, Trump needs to be impeached a third time post presidency and Obama for the first. We should impeach Michelle for good measure.

They certainly do not and even if they did, they do not have the ability to build or support the actual hardware.

Yall need to think about the logistical requirements of actually using all of this advanced shite. Look up the flight vs service hours for an F22. Its ridiculous, and you must have the trained manpower, the parts availability and the supply chain to support all of that. Keeping an aircraft carrier in service is a tremendous industrial endeavor in itself.

China is certainly on a trajectory to become a global super power, but right now they are the global dollar store. They are nowhere near there yet. If they were, they would have taken Taiwan long ago and dared the world to do something about it.

this, 100% this

The ability to fire a missile that will fly hypersonic speed, they certainly have. The ability to actually effectively use them in a meaningful way? I think we are likely the only ones with that capability.

this is where i stand. we have hypersonic missles, we just dont consider them deployable yet.

as far as what china and russia have....we dont consider them true hypersonic missles.

I’ve seen some back and forth on here about China having these missiles, and us not having them

We have them, they have nuclear weapons inside. Had them since the 60's.

I have a hard time believing China didn’t steal that tech from us or one of our allies.

Likely, we have been researching for some time, NASA was using old phoenix missiles for this very purpose in the 80's i think.

Do you believe we have them and are just playing coy?

We have them, we have successfully tested them. Our new stuff is powered, i believe China's is just the glide vehicle. Not so sure how effective an intercept would be, but for a powered missile that can maneuver it would be all but impossible.

Because the life support loop in an aircraft isn't that complicated and they still screwed it up. My only point is that the same process that gave us the F-117 can also occasionally stub its toe. That doesn't mean the 22 isn't better than the competition, it just means that we don't alway hit one out of the park.

well we agree there. but during the developmental stage, accidents happen.

Again, I'm not an expert in this particular defense area, my friend is that I talk to regularly. I would describe his take on our ballistic defenses as "we ain't there yet". That does not mean we're behind anybody on ballistic defense, nor do I know what you're reading that gave you the impression that I thought that.

If people want to believe that because we produced the B2 that we also have a space-based iron dome around all our military assets that makes them impervious to missiles, it's no skin off my nose. An expert I've known for 30 years, who's worked on missile defense for nearly that long, seems to think we don't have that yet. I tend to believe him.

i dont think we have a complete iron dome at all. i just think we are much further along than whats being let on.

But i do think within 2 decades we will have the ability to take out any missle at launch in the world. pretty much on the pad or right after launch and it will be from space.

Maybe we do, maybe we don’t.

But no level of incompetence or lack of preparation By the US government or military these days would surprise me.

yes, absolutely they dont, because they are more worried about drag queen shows and gender reconstruction surgery for service members and how long the skirts are that the guys should wear

I remember reading a while back that the tech the military has is usually a decade or so beyond what the public knows.

It's 100% true. A decade or even more.

My grandfather worked for a major company doing R&D for the military in the 60s. That stuff he helped develop back then ended up on Trident Missile guidance systems.

In the 70s my dad and grandpa both worked there, and the stuff they were doing back then didn't go public until Operation Desert Storm.

Today might be a different story, but I doubt it. The MIC is always loaded and looking to find fascinating new ways to destroy people with unmatched dominance.

The only thing I believe about the MIC is that it stopped focusing on the priority of making the US the most elite military in the world - in favor of transgenders and Woke ideology. They hang on to their power thru lies and tradecraft.

So - no. I don’t believe they have shite. But we can have trannie drag shows- so maybe that will make us less of an attractive target.

We certainly have them and we probably have a defense for them but who knows how good it is?

Pretty hard to defend against a missile coming at you at 6000+ mph. Especially if they're fired in salvo mode. Scary scenario. The travel time from China to a USA city is like 30 minutes. Shorten that time for a sub-launched missle.

Was it Biden's pal Mark Milley who said we have no defense against these Chang Chang Hypersonics? Unfortunately, nuclear war with China and or Russia is inevitable.

Democrats are absolutely determined to start a war. A war mongering antagonistic bunch these democrats.

Elections have consequences. Stolen elections have catastrophic consequences.

Seeing how focused our military is on diversity, inclusion, and equity, I wouldn't be surprised...

The U.S. has hypersonic missiles/drones.

"A defense for them" is problematic. There is a "defense" for anything. Sensor, barrier, active interceptor, etc. The question is, "Is there an effective defense against this weapon system?"

I doubt it. Hope I'm wrong and that the Jasons at DARPA sorted this out decades ago.

The US govt (DARPA) tested the H Bomb and almost caught the atmosphere on fire, and DID actually kill several people via radiation a year before anyone found out.

Oh, I believe the US has them, and has had them for years if not decades.

There's only two wildcards that really come into play whether or not there's a defense for them, or for any of the fancy techs that are developed, really:
- The lack of a live fire event to assess the defenses
- The neverending capacity for the US government to frick things up

I think US tech is literally out of this world good. I don’t know where UFOs really come from but I doubt they’re of extraterrestrial nature. We have some crazy stuff.

Ever wonder why UFOs are almost 90 percent spotted over US territory? And more so in the western skies, Alaska and the Pacific? When were the last sightings over equatorial Africa, the Mideast, Russia or even the Far East?

And you can bet they’re not telling any of our secrets to the current top 3 in the chain of command.

They probably CIA or heretofore unknown agency/group project, and they try them out near our advanced naval military operations to test them on the latest and greatest early warning technology known to modern day evolved man - mostly rightists, definitely not those inbred reptilian humanoid leftists.
