Does Trump file his taxes with a non-government agency? Why would anyone be afraid of what’s on a tax return that is sent to the government and likely scrutinized more than any document in the history of documents?

We need to know what makes this guy such an expert on taxes because the IRS would have nailed Trump if anything was there.

Curious to know the 7 downvotes in favor of ILLEGALLY showing someone's tax returns.
These were shown to the bs reporter before the grand jury. I would think someone should arrest cy vance. I think I would at least go back to the supreme court and point out what happened by allowing this.

We are far from knowing the full extent of that investigation. But we do know some of the more likely charges could be hard to prove.
Perhaps not. Two points of serious caution. First, and perhaps obviously, no single criminal investigation will be able to right the many wrongs, both legal and perhaps illegal, that Trump committed over the past four years. We ask too much of the district attorney's investigation if we expect it to remedy the apparent abuse of power and breakdown in constitutional norms that Trump committed during his term in office. Second, even looking more narrowly at the potential criminal behavior being investigated by the district attorney, we are far from knowing the full extent of the investigation. But we do know that some of the more likely charges could be hard to prove.
From MSNBC
The constitutional abuses of power are a daily routine for democrats.

Attorney Cy Vance finally has eight years of Trump's financial documents, from 2011 to 2019. Trump "is very afraid of what's in these documents, I think,"
Has everyone forgotten that Obama's IRS was weaponized against political rivals and others? Do you really think the tax returns are hiding some deep, dark criminal activity? If they were, they would have been leaked 4 years ago and some poor schmuck would've been the fall guy. There's nothing there. But, the media is the weapon of choice of the left to attempt to scare certain players into "flipping" and to convince the masses that ORANGE MAN BAD!

Turns out he had a massive drop off in income from 2017-2019.

Guys keep misspelling YOHOO Chocolate Drink. Because the journalists are not old enough to buy beer across the aisle.

Even if the journalist did see them it doesn’t mean he understood them. Each return is hundreds of pages long and took a team of accountants to assemble. Journalist doesn’t know shite. The IRS has had these returns for years and never found anything. Also if you don’t think the deep state wouldn’t have used these if there was something there then I have a bridge to sell you. This is a huge nothingburger.

Yeah.... I'm sure everything will be kept in proper context and "conjecture-free".

Trump had a good highly visible speech so they have to do something to try to knock him down.
Posted on 3/1/21 at 7:35 am to dafif
Damn they hate him so much. It’s comical how much energy hear people out into to trying to “get” Trump.

Trump pays his accountant to correctly file his taxes. If accountant does not, then it is on him.
Unfortunately this is incorrect.

Just because the left wants it so bad doesn’t make it so. Trump will come out of this “investigation” like he has all the others - clean. They will keep going until they have some procedural issue they can claim as a crime.
Posted on 3/1/21 at 7:40 am to dafif
So a liberal “journalist” tells a liberal news network that trumps tax returns are fraudulent? Shocker.

So there is an ongoing criminal investigation and this guy has seen all of his returns....

Maybe you’ll get an impeachment out of this? So excited for you guys!!

Trump should immediately sue the Manhattan D.A.'s office for violation of his Civil Rights and harassment.
The Manhattan D.A. only has jurisdiction over state crimes. The D.A. has no jurisdiction over anything in Trump's federal tax returns which is why the Supreme Court should have stepped in and refused to give the Manhattan D.A. Trump's tax returns without a very good explanation of exactly what he was looking for that violated a STATE LAW. The explanation the D.A. gave about "publicized reports" about Trump doing something wrong should have been laughed out of court. THAT just proved that this is nothing but a fishing expedition and an attempt to leak these documents to the DNC propaganda wing known as the Mainstream Media.
Trump should put the D.A. on the defensive by suing him immediately and making him show EXACTLY what STATE LAWS were violated that necessitated and gave him probable cause to get Trump's tax returns.

quote:that rather depends upon what each of them is looking to find. The IRS is not looking for violations of New York State criminal statutes, just as the New York prosecutor is not looking for violations of the internal revenue code.
The IRS has the tax returns. What would this DA see that the IRS doesn't?
Scary hypothetical ahead.
Assume that I live in a jurisdiction with personal property taxation. Two different governmental agencies want to get a good look inside my hay barn.
The taxing authority wants to look in my hay barn to confirm whether I properly reported my inventory for purposes of taxation.
A criminal investigator, on the other hand wants to get a look in my hay barn to search for trace evidence on my handtools regarding a murder investigation.
The New York prosecutor is simply not look looking at these tax returns for purposes of enforcing the internal revenue code. That is a silly, silly, silly red herring argument.
The New York prosecutor wants to see those returns, because tax returns are a veritable treasure trove of investigative leads On matters totally unrelated to taxation.
Political prosecution! … rabble, rabble, rabble. Fishing expedition!… rabble, rabble, rabble.
Perhaps, but those are entirely different arguments.
