you understand that dispensationalism is small sliver of the protestant faith in the new nited states of merica n' such. no main stream protestant faith including the southern baptist believe we are living in the end times, tell me you don't go to church without telling me you don't go to church.

let me guess son you go to the first church of internet porn.

Christians have been saying this for 1996 years. Don't let it stress you out. They will still be saying it long after you are dead.

Every generation says this. Just like the one before. From hunter gather, to fire, to the wheel, to writing, to boats, to new religions, to electricity, to smart phones.......and then SOCIAL frickING MEDIA.

It will be that way in the future too.

It's a good bit like a horoscope where things are so vague you can add and find meaning in anything.

And that's because the basic theme of what it's talking about is sound and is constantly playing out. Governments will try to gain more and more control over its citizens to the degree they will allow it. They will war, they will lie, they will do all those things. They will treat people like cattle and all those basic themes have always existed and will exist.

Like take the social security number. At one time it was considered by some as the mark of the beast. Because it fits that description, being cattle and being numbered.

And then it was RFID chips - same concept.

And now cell phones and other tracking devices.

It's all the same concept. It's just going to keep getting more and more of it. Is there an end to it? Maybe. But it doesn't seem to me like most people really care or want to know the truth. There is large scale suspension of belief going on. Even as people see and believe these things, nothing changes.

And maybe, it's all just a lesson in good and evil and will never change until people do.

Because the idea of people trying to be God, omnipotent, all knowing and all power is 100% real. Regardless of religious beliefs, that much should be obvious to all.

End of days? No.

End of wester civilization dominance? Perhaps.

Enemies of the west have learned how to use democratic openess to their favor, and whether we like it or not, Islam is a stronger force. They have little so have nothing to lose. Citizens of the west are afraid of losing what they have.

No, of course not in the next 10 years.

The next 100 years? In 100 years, IMHO the world will look very different than it does today. Maybe in 100 years, Jesus Christ will Return.

The West is beginning to unravel. There are strong agents of chaos causing this process. The West seems absolutely defenseless against this process.

People may well ask : What agent of chaos? My answer - Radical Leftism. Not the kind of "Leftism" that caused Unionized labor in coal mines and rail roads. I mean the kind of Leftism like the Bolsheviks who slaughtered the Czar and his children.

I don't think that this destructive trend to the extreme Left can be stopped.

Read a few verses before that one and you’ll realize that the prophecy is a failed prophecy. It’s been 2,000 years past the deadline. Or at least 1,960 years or so. I think that generation is dead after a couple of millennia and we still have the same heaven and the same earth and the son of man still hasn’t come on the clouds and he still hasn’t resurrected the dead and judged the living and the dead.

End times? That's both interesting and funny. The Bible is extremely clear nobody knows the the time but to be ready when it does occur. I'm quite comfortable when the end time does come. I'm ridin' with Jesus. No worry.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're scared of what is happeneing to our society, culture, and America overall. Yes, we are on a path to forfeiture of what was the greatest country ever.

When Israel starts bulldozing the Dome of the Rock in order to build the 3rd Temple, then you can start the clock.

Absolutely we are. Beyond everything prophesied in Matthew 24 (part of the Olivet Discourse) and other scripture about the state of the world leading up to Christ's return ( "As in the days of Noah..." Luke 17), your best indicator is when a monetary system can be fully installed that will allow a one world governing body to control all of your ability to buy and sell. It's not quite there yet, but the idea of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) is the direction it is all going. Can't be implemented in a day, but we're at a point where it can be rolled out within a 2-3 year period, precipitated by a complete financial reset.

The Book of Revelation was about the Roman Empire. It wasn’t a prophetic description of our times.

I love Revelation because it supports the concepts of 1 Cor and Galatians and Hebrews of Jesus being crucified in the heavenly temple in the heavenly Jerusalem. It’s a great example of the Christian cult’s fascination/continuity with first temple concepts - the ark of the covenant, the menorah, the glasslike firmament under the throne of Yahweh, the cherubim, etc.

Whether any particular bible uses 666 or 616 as the number of the beast, it still comes out to Nero. I think Revelation was written after Nero’s supposed death but before the Jerusalem temple was destroyed - so late 60s CE.

Most Christians don’t understand the imagery and context of Revelation. Any of them that think that it was prophetic or meant for people living 2,000 years later are just living under a rock and/or are dullards.

Since you asked...I've posted this on several threads but it's worth repeating.
I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of all born again gospel believers. When this occurs Islam will become the largest religion on the planet (right now it's #2) It's adherents will enforce Sharia law worldwide and they will ramp up their rhetoric and attacks on Israel. (with the rapture occurring, the USA will be severely weakened and will not be able to help Israel) From among the Islamic ranks will arise a "peacemaker" who will be their Mahdi, but will be the antichrist from a christian perspective. He will pretend to make peace with Israel but will desecrate their temple and declare himself to be God and failure to worship him will result in being beheaded, which is their thing for infidels. They (the muslims) think that the true Jesus is the antichrist in their belief system so these two theological systems will be at war in the end times. Christians believe that the real Jesus will return and destroy the antichrist and all enemies of God and set up his kingdom on earth.

You don't have to believe any of this but this is what I believe will happen or something very similar and I do believe we are getting into the end times. Not sure how long that will take to fulfill itself but you see it coming. There are a dozen new islam posts on this board every day. Islam is a satanic religion established by Satan to oppose God and attempt to thwart Satan's own final destruction. It is a counterfeit of christianity, but instead of pointing you towards faith in Christ, it points you towards obedience to Allah, whoever that really is, and is evil and barbaric. Before anyone says muslims believe in Jesus, realize they believe he was a prophet and not God in the flesh. They believe he will come back and tell everyone they have been wrong about him and that we should worship their mahdi instead. This isn't the Jesus of the bible. Look around you and as you see Islam spreading all over the world you can see that this scenario isn't that far fetched if you are a christian and believe in end time prophecies.

if you are interested in any of this here is a good video by the late John Macarthur explaining all of it.
