yes, but in MODERN times, biblical scholars, aka the very intelligent people who study those texts and their histories for a living, are pretty much in agreement that Revelations was more of a social commentary of the times in which is was written and not the forward thinking prophesy that it was is sometimes attributed to be...

How nice for them. Theyre wrong. Or more accurately they are trying to create a reason for people to buy their works

The author of Revelation is clearly John the Apostle. In the writing he only identifies as John. in 95AD there is only one John that could write to the 7 Asian churches and not have the need to further identify himself. In Chapter 22 he confirmed his authority, "Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets". He was also the youngest apostle, thereby being most likely to still be alive in 95AD to author the book

Plus, all 7 churches accepted his writings as prophetic. And wanted it included in the canon. There was little opposition to Revelation's inclusion for 200 years. Thats not the result of some social commentary floating around by some unknown author

Sorry to disappoint

Decapitation was a very common method of capital punishment during the Roman Empire.

uhhh, decapitation was only for Roman citizens of rank. It was seen as a swift and just punishment. As opposed to the cruelty of crucifixion for the rabble rousers

Also, the word beheaded is only used once in the Bible. Yeah, you guessed it, Revelation 20

The only other references to chopping off heads was done by Jews. All prior to the Roman invasion

Context means everything.

Destruction of temple and Jerusalem.
“These things which YOU see—the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.” Verse 6

"Take heed that YE be not deceived..." "go YE not with them"
"But when YE shall hear..."

"they shall lay hands on YOU and persecute YOU, delivering up YOU..."

"And when YE shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then knoW the desolation is nigh..."

Matthew 24. You need to understand Matthew 23. Jesus pronounced a series of wows on the scribes and pharisees.
Jesus says the vengeance of God is coming upon them (their fathers) for shedding the blood of the prophets plus the blood of the righteous.

Matthew 23

34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35 That upon YOU may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom YE slew between the temple and the altar.

36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon THIS GENERATION.

Revelation is surely difficult. Look up the verses that describe God's vengeance against those that killed the prophets. The Roman armies did exactly that when they destroyed Jerusalem in 70AD

Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a PROPHET perish out of JERUSALEM. Luke 13:33

.15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Matthew 24

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

The disciples were warned to flee when they saw the Roman armies. It would be harder for a woman to flee with a child. Winter would make travel more difficult and on the sabbath the gates to the city would be closed.

V For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The above describes Jesus COMING in judgment. It doesn't say he was coming to earth. "APPEAR the SIGN of the SON of man in HEAVEN COMING...

Verse 31 Is in reference to gathering the elect by preaching the gospel without the hinderance of Judaism. Since they were responsible for killing the very ones that God sent.

34 Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION shall not pass, till ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.

Every generation says this. Just like the one before. From hunter gather, to fire, to the wheel, to writing, to boats, to new religions, to electricity, to smart phones.......and then SOCIAL frickING MEDIA.

Maybe, or maybe not. Some people might have said this 100 years ago, but have no understanding of prophesy, others were saying by reading Prophesy in the early 20th century (and before) that Israel must first be reborn, which was true.

The difference today (I have been called unto prophesy for 44 plus years) is we can look back through time and see more clearly. Israel was born, CHECK, 100 to 200 years ago they were debating was those prophesies real or metaphorical, WE KNOW right?

We can see a way for a dictator to stop all buying and selling everything is now digitized, also on film so to speak, or recorded. We saw that the media and politicians can manipulate via COVID 19. We see sin run rampant, aborting innocent babies and not eve ashamed of it, state sponsored homosexual marriage is like shaking your fist in God's face saying judge me if you dare.

But all these signs are peripheral in nature. The true prophesy people, understand Israel will not be reborn until the very end times, because God said that He would bring them back into the land at the very end. Also, that the 10 (10 = Completion in Prophesy speak) horns that arise from the Fourth Beasts Head (Rome) points to the E.U. reuniting, that happened starting in 1957 or about 10 years after Israel's rebirth. The E.U. currently has 7 year agreements (I joke not) with Israel and every nation on the Mediterranean Coastline (THE MANY from Dan. 9:27) its under the guise the European Neighborhood Policy, look it up. Guess what, when you look up Rome 117 AD on a map image then look at the E.U. and her conquering Israel and the whole Mediterranean Coastline you get Rome Reborn, is the exact same landmass, and Dan. 11:40-43 shows this battle.

The key is Israel was reborn for a purpose, the 70th week will start at he pre trib rapture. The rapture happens when Israel joins the E.U. But when and why? The Gog & Magog war pushes Israel towards the E.U. this Ukraine stuff is God putting enmity between Russia and Europe, Russia will lead Persia (Iran) and Turkey against Israel, Gid will slay 5/6 of their armies on the Mt. of God and the Anti-Christ E.U. Leader) will take the credit, and at that point in time Israel will join the E.U.

The fact that people do nt understand Israel were only going to be brought back in te very end shows they are not hip to the prophetic events they are in. Pssttt, God elected Trump to slow down the One World Gov. until He was ready. In a vision in 1986 I was shown or told "The Man of Sin is here" so the Anti-Christ has been in the world at least 40 years. I was running with two kids from some very evil dudes, I hid behind a bush by a house and heard a booming voice from the heaves say that. As a young Christian I did not understand what happened. To let me know it was true, but many years down the road, I was shown Jimmy Swaggart preaching in a huge auditorium to only like 10 people, withing 2 weeks he had fallen from grace with a prostitute, so God showed me he was going to diminish. I then understood the other vision was also true.

Look around, do you really think this evil world can last much longer? And by they way, its not THE END, its the beginning, Jesus will rule on this earth for 1000 years, then this world and universe will be burned up, I think Satan wins his prize, this earth & universe is a TIME TRAP, and he and his demons, and the people who love his ways will live forever in this burning universe, it was be called HELL.

Yes, reserved for people like Paul. Revelation was written to Roman citizens who happened to be Christians.

I don't know if it's 10 years, a hundred years, or tomorrow. Jesus specifically said we wouldn't know the day or hour. The repeated instruction in Scripture isn't to figure out how close we are. It's to live in such a way that we're ready whenever it happens. (Matthew 24:36, 42-44)

Paul said the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief in the night. Be prepared. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-6)

We thought it was right around the corner in the 80's. SURE it was right around the corner. Bush Sr uttered the magic words "NEW WORLD ORDER" (up to that point no one had been dumb enough to say it) and we started stacking canned goods.

I learned my lesson. Yes, it COULD be tomorrow, but it could also be 200 years away.

I'll prep for my family but i wont stop saving for my kids' futures.

If it’s prophetic based, then yes, of course, we are definitely at the end, and have been since Christ sat down at the right hand of the Father mission complete. If it’s based on what’s happening in America, then I’d say the world has long been enemies of God. America joining the fray in turning away from the gospel is just part of an ongoing turning in Western societies, and more than just the debauchery, but in the actual turning from believing on Jesus for salvation to believing upon themselves and their efforts and works which cannot save them or justify them, but does keep them from faith in Jesus which saves alone, and that’s the biggest problem today.

It’s not the recognition of hedonism taking place. It’s the fact that so few have even heard the actual gospel of Jesus, even in churches, in order to know how to be saved and know you’re saved. They’re believing on themselves and their unfinished works, their denomination, or something other than the finished work of Jesus alone, which is why they’re always self evaluating rather than believing on Jesus and His assurances in His word, words that have been taken out of context and woven into a man centered gospel, not the actual good news of the one true gospel of Jesus Christ.

That would be you, you have no clue what I speak of because you do not desire to read the bible nor get close to God. The bible is never wrong, everything is laid out in the bible.

In the late 1800s all scientist thought the universe had to be eternal, then in 1964 radio astronomers Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson heard a persistent, low-level "hiss" or hum of static using the Holmdel Horn Antenna at Nokia Bell Labs in New Jersey. This accidental discovery of cosmic microwave background radiation was the leftover thermal echo of the Big Bang, confirming that the universe had a hot, dense beginning.

So, the bible was right all along, "In the beginning" but of course men get everything (mostly) wrong whilst interpreting the bible. The universe was of course not created in 6 days, but instead in 6 YOWMS (time periods). The first yowm lasted 9.2 billion years, how do we know? Because the 2nd yowm starts with earth forming, which happened 4.5 billion years ago and 13.7 minus 4.5 = 9.2. Those who think the universe is only 6000 years old are the ones who make it hard for us to reach the youth, who can obviously see we are getting light from stars that took billions of years to reach the earth. I do all 6 days in my write up of creation.

On the 6th day, was when God created man, who is only 6000 years old, which baffles people until I reveal the AHAAA moment. When is a human being a human being? Dogs are flesh, as are horses but they have no eternal spirit in them, we were imparted from, God, a spirit man that makes us eternal living beings, with the ability to reason and to understand moral equations etc. etc. So, yes, there were men around for many years, but they were only animals until God placed His spirit in Adam. This is what scientist can never measure, the TIMING when God placed His spirit in Adam, thus the bible must be wrong because me have been around 100,000 years some say. But they can't measure when God placed His spirit into mankind, so all their info is meaningless.

There are those who seek knowledge, and those who lazily drink and party their lives away, buying into all the worldliness. Sad

The collapse of morality/respect for others in society, the rise of anti-Semitism all over the world, the undeniable coming global economic collapse which is obviously going to throw the world into chaos, the ability for governments to track every move and purchase you make.

All of these factors are pointing towards a one-world government/monetary system/surveillance state being enforced which will allow the anti-Christ to rise to power and control the entire world. AI is already making it easy to fool people into believing things that are not reality and it is only going to get worse, and will be a tool used by the government/anti-Christ to control the masses.

None of these tools were available 50 years ago, it has been less than 20 years since the first smart phone came onto the scene and technology is advancing exponentially.

Is that enough or shall I expound some more?

I’d say the lies you were fed were not about Jesus coming again, but about what YOU have to DO.

This is a great point. How do I get to heaven?

1) some “Christians” believe I must be baptized, some don’t.

2) if I am supposed to be baptized is it in “Jesus name” or “father son Holy Ghost”?

3) some Christian’s believe I must receive the Holy Ghost for the remissions of my sins and it is a requirement to enter the pearly gates with streets of gold.

4) Some say speaking in tongues AND THEN another person INTERPRETING is a spiritual “gift” but not required to be saved.

5) some Christian’s say if a women cuts her hair she is sinning as the holy angels know who a women by the length of hair.

6) it’s a sin for men to have facial hair

7) it’s a sin to have a TV.

8) ONLY the King James Version is the word of GOD

Look, I can do this allllll day. I know Muslims who are more Christian than “Christians” lol.
