From among the Islamic ranks will arise a "peacemaker" who will be their Mahdi, but will be the antichrist from a christian perspective. He will pretend to make peace with Israel but will desecrate their temple and declare himself to be God and failure to worship him will result in being beheaded, which is their thing for infidels.

This board cracks me up.

Not 10 years, but the next 100 - 500 years which is, in reality, a very short time frame.

Revelation 20
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.

The book of Revelation is about the Roman Empire.

Look up Josh Howerton (pastor in Dallas) and listen to his explanation of Islamic eschatology and the rise of Islam and we may be closer than anyone thinks.

What is the eye roll for? Look at the context in which it was written.

The end is always one day closer every single day. Is it near? Maybe, but the end of tUSA draws near.

If so, don't you think John would have included the destruction of the second Temple? I honestly have never heard anyone make such a claim.

Not necessarily, for many potential reasons.

I don't know about ten, or even in my lifetime, but in my children or grandchildren lifetimes. There's still a decent bit thst needs to come to fruition and I don't know if it all happens in the next let's call it 30 years.

What other religion prefers the "beheading" of infidels and therefore leading to the verse in Revelation? Is the Roman Empire into beheading people. The Mahdi and the Pope as his Prophet is a deadly combination, if you ask me.

We’ve been living in the “End Times” for years, it’s coming but no one knows the hour or day, but it’s coming. Easily seen in the world today.

Decapitation was a very common method of capital punishment during the Roman Empire.

normally it's the older people. they know the end of their existence is near and want everyone to go with them.

Or it's as you get older and finally look beyond your own myopic bubble you start to see things as they truly are.
