Humans don't always seek or find those basic needs and desires in healthy places though.
There's a reason why right-leaning and religious people typically report higher rates of happiness and fulfillment. They are also less likely to attend therapy or be on anti-depressants.
The inverse is true of left-leaning, non-religious people, especially women. Groups or sub-groups of people who are generally unhappy and unfulfilled enough to actively try to tear down society are inferior by definition.
