Hope for future? If you can answer honestly.

We are always negative here. Current events and media certainly do not help.
Are you hopeful?
Hopeless?
Indifferent? “World moves on. Very little can or will change that.”
I have been mildly indifferent over the years. Now I’m leaning less hopeful. The world has always had evil. From actual WW2 Nazis, to Muslims, to lone wolf terrorists, to the mentally ill mass shooter.
My fear is not that these exist. They always have. I fear we have ZERO in place to stop them or the stomach to tolerate anything put in place. It will take another major attack probably a scale worse than 9/11 and even then the percentage of the population that would still wring their hands over doing anything would be large. Less. But large.

It depends on what you mean by hopeful. Do I have hope in humans to make a wonderful world at some point? No, not at all. Zero hope of that. As a Christian, I have a different hope though.

Hopeful.
I know how this ends.

I think it’s hard to say with AI. I can see the economic apple cart being turned over even if the tech isn’t quite there.

Negative
Cheating allowed in blue states is rampant.
Nothing can be done. Half the population is OK with it.
We are doomed.
Trump will give us a few more good years but unless God intervenes we are doomed.

There will be a great calamity, be it an economic collapse, another world war, a pandemic, famine, etc. Millions of people and many institutions will not survive it. Those who do will inherit a golden age on par with the Renaissance or the post-War baby boom. America will survive in one form or another, and there’s not a whole lot more any of us can do about it except vote our conscience, live morally, love our families, serve our communities, go to church, and have kids. We’ve gotten through all kinds of crisis together, we’ll get through this one, and we’ll get through the next one too.
Louisiana is f$&ked, though.

The fight against evil will never end.
Utopia is not achievable on earth.
When the Berlin Wall fell many thought we could relax. You can never relax.
People with hope from divine inspiration we be the ones strong enough to continue the fight. The rest will surrender an whither away.

You’d be completely ignorant to be hopeful.
Inner cities will never, ever get better.
Due to the great society>>>>war on drugs>>>>no child left behind, we are on our third or fourth generation of African Americans without a father. Due to this coupled with our education policy, the inner cities will never get better, continue to overpopulate, and grow. Demographics determine destiny.
Secondly, our dollar is being devalued, and the eradication of the middle class is in full swing. AI will be the death knell.
This leads us to dystopian future with Orwellian solutions.

United States of America is spiritually dead. Devil won. This county idolizes vile people because they have money or are influential on social media. US has become a culture that rejects God.

Hopeful, but unfortunately this country is in a massive decline. Everyone knows why.

If another world war happened again, we'd be France basically. Not sure what France would be since they've become a third world country essentially.

If your hopes for the future are bound by politics I feel sorry for you

My only genuine hope is in the return of Jesus Christ and in the promised mercy of his father. I trust in nothing else.

I would have some hope for the US if we had a majority of decent, honorable and moral people leading the major institutions and government in the US.......but we don't.

People who adopt the Christian Faith and the Eschatological Narrative therein are both hopeful, but very concerned as to weathering the transitional storm which brings the ‘Millennial Kingdom of Heaven on Earth’. Given the extraordinary powers of AI, this is a very plausible scenario, especially IF Jesus Christ truly returns and takes the Global helm. In what form, nobody knows. Could be a pure Vision of Truth in that “there will be no need that one teach another, for the truth shall be written in the hearts of all”. There won’t be a long haired dude in a chariot coming down from the sky, at least not an objective version. Subjectively, massive personal and diverse visions/hallucinations is a given.
From where we are now, a lot must happen. But it can. If there is a Loving God, the Children of God/Love are destined for Heaven. Just a matter of taking our lumps via “the fiery trial that shall try (think refine) our faith “.
Put me in the very optimistic category. Jesus has this.

The world will become more authoritarian. As technology advances Big Brother will encroach more and more on our privacy. If Leftists obtain power America will lose influence over the world because the men will have such low testosterone levels that they won't be willing to fight. Islam will probably become the majority religion because they are willing to use rape and murder to expand. Rich people will move off the planet and poor people will be stuck here being indentured servants only working for the state under the threat of prison because everyone will be in debt. There will be UBI but it will only pay for your basic needs like housing, food, medicine, and a little allowance for drugs, cell phone, internet, and entertainment. Because of AI none of us will recieve the true reality, but the reality the state wants us to see in order to keep us in control. I am in my 40's. so thankfully I will be dead before any of this happens.

AI will become logical and rational at some point and will develope less tolerance for people that are basically dead weight with no intrinsic civil value.
It is illogical for any civilized society to drag along and put up with the BS our dead weight gets way with today. Judge Dread will not be so kind.

I'm hopeful, but it's going to get much worse before it gets better. The thing I I'm most sad about is the tribulation my family will have to go through.
I look at my little grandchildren; they fill me with love. I pray for the Lord to spare them in the coming tribulation.
