If a person is here illegally, that person must be sent home. That person can then re-apply to come back in legally. Most importantly, any and all must learn English and no paperwork from any American institution, including hospitals, can contain language other than English.
Assimilation must occur.
Assimilation must occur.

I disagree.
Close the border completely and kick out everyone that’s here illegally. Really and truly we need to kick out entire populations of people that are here legally as well.

It’s completely fair to consider the cost but you can’t overlook the significant contributions to get the full picture.
Contributions from whom? Illegals? Wouldn't that be about zero if instead of illegals having to do manual labor to feed their families, we made Americans do that? I think that's called a win-win.

You're adding an additional variable to the discussion here.
What if that second variable isn't present? Then what do we do?

More innuendo.
They never quit and the TDS infected eat this shite up.

They’re in total denial.
Half the 2024 platform has been flipped upside down and he’s actively kicking people out of his coalition if they say anything about it.

I'm not adding a variable. I'm acknowledging its existence.
Fantasizing that "they're only doing jobs Americans won't do" is silly and unproductive.

I know people will blow up, but before the 2016 election I had a more logical solution that was a compromise:
Build the wall
Announce to the nation that if you are illegal and undocumented, you have a deadline of 1 year (or less) to register with ICE. You will be allowed to begin the process of becoming a permanent resident via a rigid program.
If you don't register and the deadline hits, you are ruled ineligible and will be on the deportation list permanently. Also, once the deadline hits, no tolerance for invaders.
During the process, you have demanding tiered stages to become a resident to prove that you really want to be here, all of them met with deadlines. You have to learn English, learn what it means to be an American, do service hours, be required to and prove the paying of taxes, etc. It will not be a simple or convenient process. You will report for mandatory ICE meetings/court dates to monitor progress.
If you commit a felony during the process, you are ineligible for residency and are deported.
You have a deadline to meet all of these requirements (3-5 years). If you do not meet it, you are deported.
This puts the ball in their court to step up and show that you want to be here, and assimilate, or shut up and leave.
I have come across many people who are just trying to better their situation and pursue the dream. They are very religious, have strong family values, and they have superior morality compared to some of our citizens. However, there are also many that want to hold on to their past which affects our citizens (not paying taxes, fraud, little desire to learn our culture, making money here for a few years and going back, flying a third world country flag which was the reason why they defected in the first place, stealing, etc). Trump has said before that we want good people to come to the USA.

You're projecting a reality that simply doesn't exist and very few people in power are trying to create. Trump is not trying to create that reality for example

What reality that doesn’t exist am I projecting?

This is the Gang of Eight. One of them is a Trump cabinet member who people on this board want to be the next President, while the other is a Senator who Trump used to not like but now they're besties.

Well, if we deport 30 million illegals, who’s gonna do the jobs they vacate?

Yeah, tell California that after Reagan allowed mass amnesty. They have never voted Red since.
