Nowhere in that article does he say this. It's a clickbait headline.

The administration isn't seriously considering political suicide like this ill-fated clickbait is intimating.

"The problem is the stupid-high number of immigrants ..."

But this problem becomes manageable over time if the flow is stanched. I saw recently that as recently as 1970, the percentage of non-US born in the US was 5% and now it's around 15%. Given time, these numbers can change a lot based on the power of prospective policy.

The average American doesn’t have the stomach for it or budget cuts regardless of what posters on this board claim. Look at many so called conservatives on here during DOGE: “you can’t cut that”, “it’s not enough so why bother”. The ICE raids proved the same. We aren’t getting out of this

Doing this will completely end my support for Trump

If I wanted amnesty, high gas prices and war in the middle east I’d vote for Jeb!

Yeah we are pretty much screwed. And I get it, a Hispanic is going to work and blacks and young whites want to sit on their asses. So businesses are in the right to want to hire the guy that's going to show up every day for $10. Id do it too probably.

But it's not sustainable because we can't deport the takers. Just keep adding on.

Resilience is the ability to adapt well to adversity, trauma, tragedy, or significant stress.

I may not disagree with this much but the issue is the step before this - why the frick should we willfully create a situation that requires the country's ability to adapt to adversity, trauma, tragedy and stress? How about we just not bother doing that and focus our efforts elsewhere?

It's almost magic how the flow of illegals stops when we cut off the tens of billions for inviting, flying and otherwise ushering them into the country.

I voted for MASS DEPORTATIONS.

I voted for: “They have to go back.”

All of them.

So if I stop paying all my taxes but am otherwise law abiding can I also be granted amnesty?

Deport them all. It's the only way to save our country for actual Americans.

My post addressed the situation in which we find ourselves. You will get no argument from that the decision(s) to ignore our immigration laws and—an invitation to lawlessness—was anything other than a big mistake.

Well, addressing the situation we find ourselves in, the opposing views -

- Deport them all and not have to tap into our resiliency bank; or

- Let them stay and count on the country to be able to assimilate 40 million poor/uneducated/unskilled people that don't want to assimilate, when the country is very divided, increasingly incapable of spending within its means, in the throes of a serious cultural war, and flirting with socialism

It's weird to me that this is even a question for someone that's not for mass illegal immigration.

Holman was just on the Will Cain show. Homan just said that amnesty is off the table and deportations should exceed what they did this past year.

Because he is talking about millions of illegals

I would consider giving amnesty to illegals based on the following litmus test:

1.) They can pass a basic, 20 question 7th grade level civics exam, written in English, at least 18/20

2.) They can read aloud the first two chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, in English

3.) They are employed and have an individual income sufficient to disqualify them for all welfare

I'd agree with this if we added a 4th litmus test -

4.) They go back to their home country and stay for 83 years 4 months and 5 days before re-illegal-immigrating to the US.
