“ It's weird to me that this is even a question for someone that's not for mass illegal immigration.”

Full deportation is very difficult and almost certainly not achievable. Also, many in this country don’t want people deported who, for example, were not born here but came here as children. Especially given the massive cost and use of resources, I would prefer to stay focused on criminals and those with terrorist ties. Of course, any illegal alien would continue to live with the risk of deportation.

Not accurate according to Homan. Some members of Congress always pushing, but no amnesty under Trump's administration.

I have heard Trump has said some migrant workers allowed, but not citizenship. Must enter legally to become a citizen.

It's effectively achievable.

So? Many in this country want all sorts of shitty things.

Explain what those massive costs are relative to the costs associated with taking care of and assimilating tens of millions of poor and uneducated people.

Whether you talk with engineers, venture capitalists, founders or managers, or with doomers, accelerationists, lefties or libertarians, the so-called San Francisco consensus on the impact of A.I. for workers is bleak. Many are convinced that advanced A.I. will soon surpass human capabilities. This would produce tremendous growth and scientific achievement, but it would also displace millions of jobs as fewer humans are needed to make the economy run. The technology will depress economic mobility and exacerbate inequality, while ferrying power and wealth to the A.I. companies and the existing owners of capital.

I don't subscribe to all the AI gloom/doom regarding a permanent underclass, but at a minimum there is going to be a serious dislocation of tens of millions of workers that will prove costly. So why add 40 million poor/uneducated people to this problem, and how much would deporting cost compared to paying for them forever?

No way does he do this. It goes 100 percent without any excuses or caveats against the majority of MAGA.

Whoever on the cabinet suggested this should be shite canned immediately and who ever suggested them be on the cabinet shite canned as well

No …. simply no.

Return them and allow them to come back the right way. Vet them thoroughly, and confirm assimilation.

"This is how America will fall. If these illegal aliens are not returned to their country of origin, America is done."

Why do you believe this is so? I believe America to be far more resilient than this and capable of absorbing relatively large numbers of immigrants so long as the flow of illegal immigrants is stopped. In fact, I view the near-sealing of the border to be one of this administration's greatest achievements, and they did it remarkably fast. If anything, I would like to see fewer but "better" deportations, giving officials the time to focus on criminal elements and especially anyone with potential ties to terrorism.

It won't be the end of America but IF and it's a huge IF, If Trump did sign something pushing for amnesty for illegals. Then eventually the country will vote in someone to remove them. Look at the UK, Restore Britain is gaining a lot of momentum. It might not win yet. But if you push hard enough the majority will get fed up with the government trying to make them second class citizens in their own country.

I love Trump but sometimes I don’t think he has the balls to do what needs to be done. Hopefully I’m wrong and it’s playing out like he’s planned.
That said this admin is responsive when a lot of us get really loud. So we should continue to do so.

It’s completely fair to consider the cost but you can’t overlook the significant contributions to get the full picture. Some calculate a net positive, others a negative, but this doesn’t take into account the cost of actually deporting people or, what is most important to me, the diminished focus on criminals and those with terrorist ties.
