Audie Murphy is a good one! Wouldn’t have thought of him.

I’m pleasantly surprised to see Antonin Scalia’s name on that list.

I am surprised that Charles Lindbergh didn’t make the cut.

I could argue against some on that list, and argue for many more not listed.

But overall it is fine. I am in the afterglow of that magnificent speech so I will save my more detailed thoughts for later.

Not me. Old Chuck was a Nazi sympathizer. Had some wonderful things to say about Hitler before WW2 slapped his trap shut.

I am too. I am also surprised Neil Armstrong didn’t make the list.

One name that I know would be too controversial, but IMO should be there is Robert E. Lee. He is arguably the best general in America history. He wasn’t fighting for the south for their ideals, but because his state/Home/Community found themselves in the Southern states.

I read Douglas Munroe might get a statue. Only Coast Guardsmen to ever receive the Medal of Honor. Saved a ton of Marines at Guadalcanal. Only non-Marine to be enshrined at the wall of heroes at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. His dying words where “did they make it?”
