re: Why are people mad at Cruz? What the hell is he going to do?

If it doesn’t matter, why did Cruz cut his trip early, fly back, and apologized instead of sticking to his guns?
re: So Dem leaders get to eat out at restaurants but Cruz can't travel?

You know who thinks it was a mistake for Ted Cruz to travel?
Ted Cruz himself. He flew back early, apologized, and said it was a mistake. If it doesn’t really matter, he could be sitting on the beach right now.

Leaders lead.
Leaders find ways to help those they lead.
If there nothing you honestly think a sitting United States Senator could do to help those that elected him, then that is a failure of imagination and leadership.

Well Lion Cruz admits he made a mistake and understands why everyone is mad at him. Says he starting having regrets as soon as he got on the plan.

What man doesn’t sit with his family on a plane flight? Upgrading your seat while your wife and kids sit in the back.

Statement from Ted Cruz
quote:
“With school cancelled for the week, our girls asked to take a trip with friends," he added. "Wanting to be a good dad, I flew down with them last night and am flying back this afternoon. My staff and I are in constant communication with state and local leaders to get to the bottom of what happened in Texas. We want our power back, our water on, and our homes warm. My team and I will continue using all our resources to keep Texans informed and safe.”

I guess Ted cares... now he’s on a flight back home LOL
This is why Cruz will never succeed Trump. He gets a little bad press and immediately does a 180 instead of staying the course and enjoying his vacation.

Yeah, Ted Cruz is removing demand off the Texas power grid. God bless this man.

I fully support him and his entire family going on a warm vacation right now

Smart move I think. Less demand on the Texas power grid.

Well Cruz and his family are in Cancun right now, so Biden is actually helping Texas more than it’s own Senator

I know the point of this thread is to ha ha dunk on Biden. But...
He has approved federal aid quickly and FEMA is helping without delay.
I understand this upsets some of you, but if we have a government, be proud when it works.

Sounds like a Texas problem more than anything. Oklahoma sure as hell aren’t having the same problems. If you submit, that is on you.

New York high rises are built to protect from hurricanes just like the high rises in Miami eh?
Of course not. But Texas officials are not speaking truthfully.
The equivalent right now though is a Category 5 hitting NYC and them blaming fracking why the buildings got damaged.
The power problems are not because of wind or solar. It is because a completely fluke event happened and they didn’t prepare for it.

Israeli's have to laugh at how stupid our citizens are and how corrupt our politicians are that they can get $3.5 billion from us every year despite the fact they're one of the wealthiest countries on Earth.
This almost sounds critical of Israel. You know conservatives are never allowed to say anything bad about Israel.

you can be reasonable and protect yourself against what typical threats happen in your geographic region.
Absolutely correct. The story should be a 1 in a 1000 event happened and we didn’t plan for it, because it is friggin 1 in a 1000.
Except some are trying to throw blame anywhere they can to provide cover for a smart business decision because they might have to explain their decision.

Texas fricked up. The government didn’t plan or prepare well enough. Learn from the mistake and be a man, instead of trying to shift blame like a wuss.
This whole blame game that takes 10 seconds to debunk is pathetic.

This is a real test of Fox once Trump brings up the election. Also a test to see where Hannity’s loyalty lies.
