This is a budget reconciliation bill. It is restricted in what can be included.

Do tell?

Oh... I know this... Tariffs. And Mexico. They'll add a surcharge to their wall payments.

Further cuts must come from other bills.

frick taxes. It’s legalized theft but why single out tips and overtime? Cut taxes evenly across the board. I hate carve outs.

This is a reconciliation bill. Only certain things can be included. It literally cannot do what you're crying about.

If you think that every American paying out 323K would solve this issue, it wouldn't.

if there is no tax on overtime(which is awesome), won't your annual total on w2 time will show much less federal/state taxes pulled from gross amount therefore making us owe more money

No. They are not saying no more withholding on OT; they are saying no taxes. So yes, OT income would be deducted from taxable income. I think.

They can do a reconciliation bill that doesn't increase the deficit.

Yes, it does. There is a ton of new spending in there, and some tax cuts. All they are cutting is $1.6 trillion, and I’m sure that’s over ten years, with most of the cuts rear loaded. So they aren’t cutting shite.

People who work for tips vote dem at an 80% clip. Tax the frick out of those assholes. Should be increasing tax on tips, not eliminating them.

Unfortunately it would never pass. Take the wins where and when we can. MAGA is a minority in Congress.

Is the bill still going through reconciliation? I can't find any news releases on it.

Did the piece about easing restrictions on suppressors survive?

I wasn't aware that a Presidential term was 6 months. I always thought it was 4 years. We are at a whopping 9% out of 100% of his term linit.
