Did you miss the part where he wants to blunt populism and get back to the GOPe cucking to corporations?

That is where DeSantis is getting most of his support from. They hide it behind “nice” or “electable” or “Trump’s temperament” but it’s really about a return to the GOP being democrat lite.

Sounds like he wasn’t happy watching cities burn during Trump’s tenure and seeing the Donald piss trillions away on liberal causes.

So you vote for the guy who said he was going to make it worse? How does that make any sense?

Basically kneecapping the MAGA freshmen like they did the Tea Party.

These motherfrickers will never quit. They will buy anyone they can.

It’s wants to blunt populism because you can’t control or manipulate it with money.

Exactly! Look what they are trying to do to the richest man in world. Imagine what they would do to the average family man.

Trump lobbied to spend more. He supported all the spending and jumped through hoops to make sore his signature was on stim checks. He failed to lead when the country needed strong/grownup leadership. He let the Left/media roll over him.

The media was going to go after him no matter what he did. Remember he was racist for shutting down travel, but Biden wasn’t. So it really didn’t matter what he did.

Whole lotta BDR stooges in this thread.

Doesn’t matter though, it’s OMB’s for the taking if he still wants it.

DeSantis had no problem telling the Feds "frick you" when it came to COVID reopening.

He had no problem telling Disney "frick you".

He had no problem telling groomers "frick you".

You are making up issues.

I bet you were for these bills at the time. IIRC they passed 434-1 in the house and 100-0 in the senate. These COVID bills had universal support at the time.

Populism means to them that we can’t have many working class Americans making laws, that is the job for a few oligarchs.

And you think a guy whose entire career has been spent in politics and is being funded by the same corporate globalists running the current shitshow is a better option?

Before Trump, immigration wasn't even an issue. Trade was rapidly slipping away from the US and our industrial wealth had transformed in foreign companies and missile makers. Perpetual war was a given. China was ludicrously called an economic ally. No other figure outside of Trump attacked on the issues he did. The man changed the nation.

DeSantis is going to be another example of what globalist money did to the tea party. They had their big win and then the cowards they elected took the masks off.

All the Ron fans are being fooled like they were with Romney and Ryan. They were your little conservative heroes too. It’s happening again.

Well Trump is not a conservative. So you need to put that into the equation. He is more of a big government populist. Trump is closer to Ryan and Romney then he is to Rand Paul. So there is that.

Which is all great, but also not hard to do with a super supportive majority in the state legislature.

The Desantis first supporters, plus the trolls, think the Trump people don't like Desantis. Which isn't true. But we are keeping an eye on him when it comes to who he's selling himself to. Money was always the concern people have had with him, and we are now seeing that concern come to light.

No one with any type of credibility wants to work for Trump....or donate to him. That is the cold hard truth. If he wants to run he's going to need 4 billion at a bare minimum. He does not have access to that kind of money and the donor class is not going to hold their noses and give it to him. They will to DeSantis.

Name one deep pocketed person who will back him financially.
