Here is the "compromise" I wish we would see pushed by Republicans.

1. Reaffirm the right to purchase arms by all Americans and challenge laws that hinder this (magazine size limits, barrel length, etc...)
2. Put forth the "compromise" that a license must be had in order to carry concealed or unconcealed in public with the caveat that a uniform, simple, and inexpensive system to obtain carry license be put in place across all states . ( keep in mind that despite the liberal narrative, this is already for the most part a requirement with the exception of a few constitutional carry states.)
3. Put forth the "compromise" that any gun purchased must be preceded by a background check and purchased from a physical location. Include stores and gun shows and require all gun shows to have a private owner transfer booth (Once again keep in mind that the gun show loophole is a myth anyways.)
4. Put forth a new law outlawing all automatic weapons (once again already exists despite the narrative)

In order to win the gun control battle republicans must learn to control the narrative. Liberals have done so for decades now with incorrect use of terms and the myth of loopholes. Turn this against them by presenting "compromises" and laws that essentially are already in effect even though the average leftist thinks that anyone can go on ebay and have a fully automatic weapon delivered to their house.

You suck at negotiating.

What's wrong with Constitutional Carry? And while we're at it, since owning a gun is an actual ammendment, unlike free health care, why isn't the government giving everyone a free gun?

Know how I know you don't own one gun?

What part of the Constitution is the compromise? Please refer me.

I got your compromise right here:

Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

Repeal this, or frick off.

There’s no such thing as compromise on gun control because it’s never enough. Any compromise contains the premise that the 2A side is in fact wrong. They are not. It’s in our Bill of Rights and we do not ever have to give that right up no matter how much leftist political pressure is applied.

Get it out of you head because it’s not happening.

Never bought a gun from a Gun Show...so is there a background check / owner transfer booth at these events?

Nah. Sounds like infringement.

More infringement.

I will never support the idea of improving legislation by adding more legislation. That's an awful approach.

the new narrative title for gun control is “gun reform”. Watch the news media, policy hacks and left politicians to shift their statements to use “reform”

Yes you still have to get a background check if purchased from one of the dealers there. The owner transfer booth does not exist currently or i have never seen them. Some people would use it but it would be easy enough to just wait till outside of the gun show if you wanted to sell to an individual.

You people are either really ignorant or have had your head in the sand since Obama. They do not and will not compromise with you. Their talking points may seem that way but they’re all liars and want total control. DO NOT GIVE THEM AN INCH.

My compromise.

1. Eat a Dick.

2. Congressional, State, and Local term limits

3. Candidates at local levels(Such as DA) can only have campaigns funded by constituents.

4. Lobbyists are bared from donating to political candidates, their families, friends, ect of any type despite whether or not they are running unopposed.

We have already compromised enough... we should be pushing the other way (no background checks, NFA guns legalized, states and cities being allowed to make gun control laws, etc.
