Packaged foods are still out of control. Things like potato chips are comically expensive.
Its inflating profits IMO, and this is as a small business owner that has seen a lot of expenses increased quite drastically. I don't drink soda really, although I do drink beer. When you do the cost analysis of the price increases for these basic items like chips, soda, and beer their prices aren't adding up. It is retailers and manufacturers raising the prices because well....they think they can. Which I'm not hating against, but I'm simply suggesting that the free market should bring these prices down.
You have things like the cost of a soda that was $1.50 is now $2.50. 20% inflation made that soda $1.80. That extra 70 cents is nothign but profit.

Dam son, you sure are mad about prices dropping. Regardless how small the drop is, you should at least view it as a positive.
I bet you said nothing when prices and inflation were increasing. You lefties sure was quite while Biden was fricking up the economy

Went to Wal Mart yesterday. Their Ribeye steaks have gone from $15 a pound to $17 a pound. Can someone send them this tweet? They seem not to know about these price decreases.

I just noticed this past week that the cheapest milk at HEB was $2.23 a gallon down from about $2.54
The 5 dozen eggs box I usually by also went from $19.80 to $19.00.

I drive across 5 states twice a week. I've noticed the gas prices have dropped since February. It's not a ton, but it's enough to get that second bottle for the weekend when I arrive at my location. My guess is that small drop in gas prices also helped the grocery prices, maybe not a ton, but some.

One thing that has stood out to me is that I don’t think bananas went up in price at all during the past four years of craziness.
It's bananas that bananas have essentially stayed the same price since the turn of the century at 60 cents a pound adjusted for inflation.

shite is still expensive but some things definitely went down. Milk and bacon definitely dropped to "normal" prices.

Too late Jerome needs to cut rates now especially with tariffs on China lowered
If he still refuses then it’s definitely political

Where are you located? I was at a Wal Mart in Raleigh on Sunday and Ribeyes were around $14 a pound.

Nope, I bitched about prices increasing when they were. Guess what? They aren't going down. A lb of community coffee in GA went from 6 bucks to 9. I can afford it; that isn't the issue. The problem is the echo chamber on here that a .4% decrease is considered meaningful. It isn't. It hasn't changed anything. If this happened under Biden, everyone on here would say either that the number is fake or that it doesn't mean anything. Yet, when it happens under Trump, it is this massive win. Is it?

I need those grocery prices to fall to 50 year lows. I’m so tired of spending 75 to 100 dollars at the grocery store and walking out with no more than a handful of items.

Send the memo to Walmart as well.

I went to the one in Suwanee Georgia near my office. They used to be $14.99 a pound and yesterday were $17.xx per pound. I bought a bunch of 85/15 grass fed beef instead.

Rouse’s eggs went down but were delayed about a month behind others. Odd thing is they seem to be higher still than other companies
