Do you honestly think a lawyer that's

been a high level lawyer for 30 years.

would know what obstruction of justice is? especially if the obstruction happened to him personally?

I would. Just sayin.

GRASSLEY: Director Comey, have you ever been an anonymous source in news reports about matters relating to the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation?

He made the notes on an FBI computer and it was "executive privileged info"

So he typed up notes on an off-the-record request by Trump to "let it go?" I fail to see how that is classified or privileged

When the machine is trying to take you down, you can't play by the rules.

This needs to happen.

It's not up to Comey, the private citizen, or you to make that determination. Thanks for playing.

Also, there is no such thing as an "off-the-record" meeting with the President when you are director of the FBI.

The dumbest thing he could have done was admit to leaking the memo.

In all honesty, I don't want anything to happen to Comey. He's very likeable...

....but also very incompetent.

The conflation continues.

What Flynn investigation are you talking about?

They aren't just memos. They are evidence of a possible crime. By his own words he created the memos to memorialize the conversation as evidence of the conversation. Furthermore he said it was set aside to deal with at some point in the future. He didn't just leak a memo, he leaked the key piece of evidence that would be used in any investigation of obstruction of justice inquiry.

Interesting considering thats how Trump's people are trying to play this. Innocent conversation or sensituve info. Cant have it both ways.

If he thought it was so important, then why didn't he bring it up the chain of command? Why did he hold on to it until he was fired? What if he was never fired? Would he still be holding on to his insurance policy?

It's the same at any job. If Joe Blow is a programmer & develops a program for his company, he can't take it when he leaves/quits & market it as his own. It is the property of that company. Most employee policies address this. I guess the FBI has some strict guidelines for this kinda stuff. And considering the fact that Comey didn't know if Trump obstructed justice (didn't know if it was against the law) then I question his judgement on knowing if he released his memos legally.

The democrats pushed this so far that they are going to take down Comey...

1. Trump doesn't take memos

2. Trump is POTUS. Guess that means something.
