They do have the crude. The problem for diesel prices in the USA is 2 fold:
Oil companies are exporting record amount of diesel because of the prices they can get on the global market.
USA refinery utilization rates are almost 100%. They can’t refine more diesel no matter how much crude they can get.

How is Iran? We don’t rely on the strait of Hormuz for our oil. We have plenty of oil in the US and now Venezuela
Either we are exporting too much or the reason given for shutting down is bullshite. We need to make it where our refineries are fully supplied before any exports go out
