People are gathering at the gas station now… despite it being under new ownership since 2023.

It’ll be interesting to see if anything pops off… Columbia definitely took part in the Summer of Love, so there’s some potential.

ETA… that sign is a MATTRESS.

Lord, please don’t let these idjits set it on fire at a gas station.

Stay strapped!

I think you’ll be fine since the defendant was Asian and the defense attorney was very black. I’d also imagine the jury was half black too.

Best thing that happened was prosecutors over charging Chow instead of seeking manslaughter.

Should he have been shot, probably not but prosecutors overcharged the Asian store owner and the jury basically told prosecutors to f-off.

Surprisingly not. It was actually pretty reasonable which led me to believe it was clearly the right verdict. Seems like several attorneys were chiming in.
I think this was it.

Now imagine if Mr Chow was white.

I bet those reddit threats would look alot different.

Ok, Mr Macho Man...let's shoot (assumed) unarmed robbers! Yeah! Next time someone walks in who I don't like, I can shoot him and say I saw him trying to steal a $2 bottle of water and it will be ok.

You're part of the problem because your viewpoint is entirely backwards. You view the criminal as the victim and the victim as a criminal. You see it as someone "taking a life over a $2 bottle of water" instead of looking it at like "throwing your life away over a $2 bottle of water."

I'd be fine with living in a society where thieves can be shot. That world doesn't terrify me - because I know I'm never going to steal.

That's scary that he's a prosecutor. Usually, those scumbags are defense attorneys using their smoke and mirror bs to get thugs off.

Ha. You are wrong. It’s all over the socials now and everyone is chiming in on how the justice system is against blacks and how they are always treated. Rise up etc. being he’s Asian is of no consequence. Next he will be white asian. It don’t matter. They have their orders and outrage. It’s an election year. You will have this and next will be that other upstanding citizen in Texas that wants to bring a blade to a track meet he’s suspended from.

This is true... looks like there is a heavy police presence so hopefully they don't start acting up.

It's amazing how so many simply don't understand it's wrong for a 14yr old to have a loaded gun or steal shite, "it's only water", "write it off", etc...

Nothing happening around the coast.

May be something going on around Columbia, Sally?

If they start busing in agitators I'm fairly certain they'll be dealt with. Henry is at the stage where he dgaf.

The first offense for any thief should be a state sanctioned removal of the dominant hand. After that, if they get shot in the process of stealing again, no questions asked.
Would end this problem overnight.
