Gaetz backed Trump without reservation during the primary so Ron probably isn’t inclined to do him any favors.

The Swamp isn’t Democrats.

Possible bad blood aside, the reality is that DeSantis probably wants something for that seat. Even if it's just an ally for the future. He probably doesn't get much of that with MG (I also question whether Lara Trump makes sense for the same reason).
On a very practical big picture level, Gaetz is a lightning rod and Senate vacancies are absolute gold. You want someone stuck in there who can be a reliable, very conservative (or MAGA, etc.) stalwart for a couple of decades without the likelihood of facing a serious threat until/unless the situation in FL changes. I'm just not sure Gaetz is that guy given the number of enemies he has and his baggage.

O'Reilly saying on Sexton show that Hegseth and RFK won't be in the cabinet either

Personally I don't care about RFK in the cabinet, but I'm a minority. I certainly wouldn't squander capital on him.
I do like Hegseth and think he's worth fighting for.

What dimension of chess would that take us to? Seven?

He didn’t have the votes for a few reasons. He has talked shite about Senators for years. Gaetz said Markwayne Mullin was a “disgrace to the Republican Party.” On Fox, MSNBC. CNN, and social media he has talked shite about “The John’s”(Thune, Barrasso, Cronyn), Collins, Murkowski, Lankford, and others.
2 of “The John’s” are now the Majority Leader John Thune and Majority Whip John Barrasso. They wouldn’t have helped him get the votes.

We're Bill O'Reilly true believers now? You really are broken.

I see the people that installed a guy that shoved cigars up a teens vagina are getting their dicks hard posting in this thread.

I've been saying this for a while. It will make the replacement look "sane.'
Bear in mind, this also takes the Rogers to FBI "deal" off the table.

If you think anything in this report is that damaging, why wouldn't the DOJ pursue charges? Because it's complete BS, that's why. Good on Matt not wanting it to be a distraction, though.

You’ve gotta admit it’s kinda funny
Gaetz is such a dickhead that all the “mandate” and “recess appointment” and “he’s your AG suck it up” didn’t mean shite
You should be happy, this means a more qualified appointment will most likely be made.
…Unless Hulk Hogan still needs a spot on the train.

Oreilly is usually BS, but if that comes true I am never voting again.
Would be insane to watch Trump go from MAGA to “stay the course” before even getting inaugurated.
