The comparison wasn't based on reach. It was based on reliability of information. If an analyst is paid by an organization, you can never trust that that their analysis is impartial.
Do you trust an analysis of Trump's policies offered by someone hired by MSNOW even if the numbers add up?
I agree that she shows her work, and that it always appeared logically congruent. NOW, I won't trust that she didn't omit some data that would have changed the analysis.
Do you think a MSNOW analyst is free to reach a conclusion that a Trump policy was actually good? Similarly, I don't think she is free to reach a conclusion that puts the Trump Administration in a bad light. She went from brilliant analyst to possible, undisclosed shill.
Also, not to reveal a conflict of interest is usually a fatal mistake to the reputation of an analyst.
