It’s not on video. This was after he was shot and on the ground I believe. Anything else is too hard to believe.

Judge can deny change of venue.

Sure, you can appeal.

Will a judge take this case from Atlanta in this political climate? A judge would essentially be saying that Atlanta can’t be fair and that the cop can’t get a fair trial. It wouldn’t surprise me to see a judge decline to make that move.

Purely political.

Howard has no balls, just like most of the ATL leadership.

He's a progressive. Has nothing to do with balls.

The GA COA is almost all Republican and their Supreme Court is all Republican as well. We'll see I guess

Same here. But some don't understand who will be on the jury.

Maybe it was for what happened as Brooks was on the ground after he was shot.

They'll have to call in the guard to surround the courthouse because the mob will be rowdy AF and there is no way you can get ATL PD to do that job with this travesty of justice going on right now. This DA has created a shite storm and is loving it. He's on the national stage now.

Supposedly the partner held him down by putting a foot on his shoulder while the cop who shot kicked him.

Has that been seen.... anywhere? Or said by... anyone... prior to today?

Probably tapped him with his foot to see if he was moving...

Apparently shots at the deceased missed and hit a Trailblazer, hence damage to property.

You have GOT to be kidding me.

Are we absolutely SURE that they aren't reviving the old Candid Camera show and playing an elaborate joke on us with this?

This is beyond belief. This could get ugly fast.

Being held w/o bail? On what planet is he a flight risk? Everyone in the country will know his face if they turn on a TV or YouTube.

Just now local Atlanta cbs news.

*Edit: the original thread title stated that DA Paul Howard would charge the Atlanta police officers this week. A couple of posters stated that DA Paul Howard only said a decision on charges against the Atlanta police officers would be made this week. For this purpose I have edited the original threat title to the revised thread title.

I fully expect the charges to be filed this week. I will bump the thread when the decision is made. This particular focus is on page 3 or page 4.

*Second Edit:

Don’t doubt me people.

Charges against Garret Rolfe:

Felony murder
Aggravated assault
Criminal damage to property
Violation of oath

Charged against Devin Brosnan:

Aggravated assault
Violation of oath

Brosnan has turned state witness, will cooperate and testify against Rolfe

No bail for Rolfe.

Why would police even bother responding to a call anymore? It’s a no win situation.
