I guess I feel somewhat bad for the cop, for the record I'm not usually a cop lover. However, the next cop in Atlanta especially a white one gets railroaded, I'm not going to feel sorry for them.

Good luck but you're a sitting duck.

So wait, the partner was charged with aggravated assault? For what?

That DA has just set race relations in this country back 60 years. Placating to the mob will result in Atlanta burning in the near future.

Not that I would be before but now there is no way in hell that I would be a cop in a democrat city.

For attacking and assaulting Rayshard Brooks, who was jovial and absolutely not a threat to anyone.

DA’s words.

Bet they still can’t do as good a job as Sherman.

The cops were cordial to Brooks until he started trying to beat them up

The riots are just postponed until after the acquittal.

Eventually cops will have enough and walk out.

Then we will see how poor black communities hold up.

It wont end well

I’m waiting for a couple of posters to revisit this thread.

Perhaps they will finally pull their heads from the sand and wake up.

I don't think anyone is laboring under a belief that the DA did this to relieve racial tensions.

He's playing is part to stir the pot.

They need a "white supremacist" to show up for revenge. They haven't had that yet, and they desperately want it.

The chokehold ban is such a joke. Floyd’s murder was not that he put pressure on his neck. It’s because he put too much pressure for too long. No more tasers is coming. Couldn’t pay me 200 a year to be a cop.

If he was charged for fighting Brooks while they were trying to arrest him, they’re basically saying they don’t want cops to arrest anymore. Maybe it was for what happened as Brooks was on the ground after he was shot.

The really sad thing in all of this...

Howard will probably be re-elected because of this political prosecution. He just lost a primary to Fani Willis, 42% to 35%.

There is a good chance that he sealed his re-election now.

There is a statement by the DA that the cops kicked and restrained Brooks by sitting when he was on ground.

The DA is a dumbass because it's only going to take the 1st court appearance for the defense to file for a change of venue and move that trial out of Atlanta.

Just keep showing them burning down the Wendy's.
