NOLA has a history of bad, crooked mayors and the city succeeded in finding one worse than Nagin.

Wasn't the previous mayor a white man?

Latoya may be the most vile and purely disgusting human being to ever walk this planet.

Pure filth.

That’s a bit strong

But I agree :)

You could argue Mitch was worse than Latoya with his destruction of NOPD his corruption at SWB his shameless attempt at national relevance. CRAY was by far best mayor in last 30 years. Morial was corrupt but he wasn’t incompetent and he supported the police

Mitch Landrieu, in many ways, was arguably worse actually.

Not exactly, if you believe the rumors.

So you think all the people voting for him thought he was black?

That's just stupid.

Even if you adhere to the old One Drop Rule, and he has some African ancestry, nobody voting for him thought they were voting for a black man. Therefore, a white man was mayor.

Because isn't that really what we're talking about, who the electorate votes for, and not some secret race identity?

tragic, but in a way I think the national spotlight needed to have a greater focus on the pure trash that is in charge of things in New Orleans
I mean it's a little late. Would have been nice to have that spotlight 6 years ago

I didn't say that. That's stupid if you assume I did. All I am saying is there are A LOT of people that believe Mitch and his people are black.

Democrats truly believe they are above reproach. That’s why they still haven’t figured out what just happened in the 2024 election, it’s the same mindset at play here. No self reflection, no humility, no shame, and certainly no admission of guilt.

Democrats don't have shame, humility, reflection, etc. because one must have morals first.

They spoke the truth. It really is sad that New Orleans has such bad leadership in all phases of government and they are best noted for grift, nepotism, and such poor management of just about everything they touch (or ignore). What used to be great has eroded to an almost irreparable stage.

My young family and I left Louisiana when David Duke -R and Edwin Edwards were the choice of the people of La for their respective parties. Best move I ever made.

Latoya has no sense of personal responsibility for anything. She believes that anyone opposing her is racist. She is a drunk corrupt self serving rotted link in a long chain of bad options.

Her opponent— charbonnet is no better other than her better appearance. She’s a plaintiff attorney afterall. Not exactly the mentality needed to lead the city of new Orleans which has a high percentage of “victim” mindsets.

And what’s next? A savior of more or the same?
Heh…

Drove down St. Charles Ave. during the election & there were biden signs all over the place. They voted her in twice & turned down a strong recall election.. But are you saying Naguin was a "good "mayor?
