My mom probably has it in a baby book somewhere. I haven't needed it in 3 decades and never will again in my life. I don't see the importance of keeping track of something I'll never need.

You could lose your passport, the SAVE Act could pass...I mean, you do you—like I said, I wasn't going to say anything—but I did have the same mental reaction that he did.

But you probably just needed it to get your passport...which I already have. I'm not in any rush to get a copy of my birth certificate. If I need it again I'll probably bitch about it but until I need it, I really don't see the reason.

Back then, you could go to Mexico with just your birth certificate.
Same with the Bahamas and Canada.
It saved me from having to get a passport.

But I actually use my passport so it's worth keeping track of
I have no anticipated use for my birth certificate anytime in the next 30 years just like I haven't had a use for it in the previous 30 years. If I use it again before I die, I'll be shocked.

The lack of basic adult responsibilities in here is surprising. Finding my birth certificate is too hard. Sheesh, grow up. You need ID to buy a home, car, concealed carry, get government handouts, fill out an I9, but let's just let everybody vote. Really?

Do a stand alone bill and let everyone show their cards. Rejecting it because of the other shite that is tied into it will be seen as not being a ‘team player’.

Read vote.org again.
Nowhere on vote.org does it suggest you need a passport to vote. Nowhere.
The only time you need a birth certificate is to REGISTER to vote.
A DRIVER'S LICENSE is needed on election day to cast your vote.

It's a federal mandate that forces the states to enforce without any funding to assist in enforcement. If the federal government wants to dictate then it should either pay the states for the enforcement or change the Constitution to just mandate that the federal government is now in charge of conducting and administering elections.
