Didn't Trump run on lowering gasoline prices? Why do these valid benign criticisms hurt your fragile feelings so much? High gasoline is good for nobody Republican or Democrat. Me wanting to save money doesn't make me 'poor' it makes me smart. Imagine bragging about paying more at the pump all because Trump is the one responsible.
Seems like you’re saving gas right now by not driving and posting on a forum

I’m sure you were complaining when regular unleaded was $4.50 under Biden.
His policies had a bigger effect on gas prices than literally bombing Iran. Incredible
Biden's increase was do to implementation of systemic policies related to communist philosophy around green energy.
Not only were these policies going to increase the cost of gas they would put them on an upward trajectory forever. They had no chance of ever coming down.
What we have now is not systemic but rather a temporary issue that will eventually resolve.

There is nearly 0 objectivity on this board. If you criticize anything Trump you are immediately pro-biden, pro lgbt, pro tranny.etc.... The ad hom attacks are so tiresome.
Those posters are the exact same thing as progressives on twitter circa 5 years ago, simply the flip side of the coin. The behavior is highly similar and they just lack the self awareness to realize it.

Were you a triggered cuck when you whined and complained about all of Biden's failures? Or, was that somehow different?

They could wave the summer formula mandates too.
Is there a "summer formula?" I thought there was only a winter formula where they required oxygenating the gas for old carburetors . Summer is just regular gas without the extra oxygenating.

They, much like the far left they despise don't want to have an honest conversation and attempt to defend their thinking. Its immediately "You have TDS" and they think thats a win. Its quite side.

Yes. They have to make the fuel less volatile in the warmer months. I believe they remove the butane component and change it out for something more expensive.

FFS, this thing where any pushback on Trump or his policies means you are a Biden voter is just childish and maddening.
It’s the same cultish crap for which we have blasted the left for years.
Are you people really that devoid of any nuance?
Posted on 5/11/26 at 10:26 am to ragincajun03
Trump has realized he screwed up. He’s desperate if he thinks this helps.

Also, arguing that "It happened to Biden too" isn't exactly a great endorsement of Trump here, did you not realize that?

Why don’t they just cap prices on American consumers and force the world to pay the difference.

If there is a typical summer spike like usual on top of this. There will be a 2008 type collapse. Travel and leisure shut down and people stay home. $5 a gallon is hit the wall number.

Don't know about a collapse, but it will be bad.
I think the admin realizing they are heading towards a cliff as summer approaches and no change in the Iran situation is the reason this has been floated out there.
We are currently 50 cents off of the highest national average ever (5.02 in 2022) and summer will eat that difference away if something doesn't change.
