Why don’t they just cap prices on American consumers and force the world to pay the difference.

In the words of the great Cajun philosopher Wayne Toups, “Please Explain”.

Oil prices are currently set by global demand. Big oil doesn’t care who the buyer is as long as they’re paying the highest price. So if Japan wants to buy oil from us at $110/bbll then Texas will pay that price too. This is the current conundrum that we’re in.

So instead, why don’t we just demand that American consumers won’t pay more than say $100/bbll and Japan can pay the overage.

It’ll be there before fall. I’m thinking before the 4th looking at futures and short interest. The money knows something is about to give.

The fact that they're talking about suspending the gas tax should be a hint that the administration doesn't think there's going to be any big drop at the pumps any time soon.

Maybe. I think they are making moves like it’s not to show Iran we don’t care how long it takes. Hell, Trump ought to send every household a $500 gas card.

No. Stop handing out new free shite while we’re $39 Trillion in debt.
