Mr Musk responded to the senator and said “some eastern portions” preferred Russia and that the “will of the people matters”.
“Assuming you believe that the will of the people matters, we should, in any given conflict region, support the will of those who live there,” Mr Musk replied.
“Most of Ukraine unequivocally wants to be part of Ukraine, but some eastern portions have Russian majorities and prefer Russia,” he added.

Lol
Pretty naive there.
Putin has told us why he’s doing what he’s doing.
USA doesn’t give a flying frick about Ukraine overall.

I would say Miss Lindsey can eat a bag of dicks, but he’d enjoy it.

I love the framing here "pro-Putin". Biden had to practically threaten Zalinsk behind closed doors not to offer a peace deal which included territorial concessions. I guess Zalinsky is pro-Putin too.
I hate the US media.

America doesn’t need to give Russia anything to stop the war.
The war stops the week America stops sending money to Ukraine.
American and Ukrainian politicians will keep the war going as long as there is money to be stolen.

We wouldn't have sent military aid if we wanted it to end or avoid said suffering.
I remember how the Viet Nam War, er, "Police Action" excuse me, ended.
It ended when Congress cutoff the funding. As in the very next day, poof!
The old adage about feeding strays still rings true across the globe. If Congress keeps feeding this dog called Invasion of Ukraine it'll stay hot. Once they cut the funds THEN the paperwork gets done (peace treaty/agreement).

Funny how little the "muh democracy" crowd actually believes in it.

They want to use ww2 era restrictions and censorship. Anything that isn't 100% positive in favor of Ukraine is labeled as pro-Russia. It's nonsensical considering we're not officially at war with Russia, our troops aren't on the ground. Talking about it from a neutral perspective is in no way demoralizing to our citizens or military.
If we declare war, then I'd understand censoring anything that may be construed as demoralizing towards our country.

All of this is ignoring the entire reason for the Russian invasion.
-US backed coup in 2014 installing pro western government on Russian border.
-Flirting with Nato membership for Ukraine
Either of those 2 would have the US invading Mexico. There is not even an argument. So basically every US politician would support a similar invasion if Russia did to Mexico what we are doing to Ukraine over the last decade

The difference is the US government could stop any rebellion/invasion in a pocket or region of our country. Ukraine has proven they can’t even with the help of the entire west.

Sounds like Musk would support the US invasion/annexation of Mexico, Central America, and South America.
And the north should have allowed the south to secede and avoid the civil war.
How can someone so smart be so dumb?

Common sense dictates that you don't try to force a nuclear nation into a corner
But what do you do when it appears they are putting themselves in a corner?
Russia led by Putin miscalculated. They thought they could rush in and capture Kiev, which is over 80% Ukranian, and take Ukrsine easily. The fact they failed us in them. Western weapons hadn’t really got to Ukrsine yet and Russian battle groups were getting decimated.
Since then we saw a Russian push in the East and South that for the most part has been arrested as Russian strength had been spent. Now Ukraine is rolling in the north and in the south as Putin tries a new strategy.
Oh and btw, Kherson is 76% Ukranian. Less than half the population of Melitopol is Russian. So again, why did Russia attack these two cities? Ask Musk that question.
