Lane retweeted the announcement.

Please go to LSU

Watching Lane spike his headset as Lagway throws his 2nd int vs Clemson in the first half would be must see TV
You don’t like what he said about your coach?

It’s gonna be a long few years if you don’t like people talking about Lane
It should be fun but I don’t think it will be as bad as Lane’s return to UT.

Fans are mad at him but still appreciate what he did. There’s a difference. Ask again after the dust settles from the portal though
The biggest difference IMO is the support from the administration, fans, and more importantly financial backing from the grove collective that Pete is getting. There are tons of elite coaches out there that “suck” because their rosters are bad.

This hire is different for sure. Pete can recruit and knows how to run a program. Matt was learning on the fly without the support of the fans and a half arse administration
More resources than LSU
More tradition
A truer Blue Blood
Bigger snd nicer stadium
More sustainable success
More preferential treatment from college football
Darling of ESPN/CAA

Ole miss will match anyone

It’s hard concept for LSU fans to understand but a higher salary doesn’t guarantee more wins. It’s why your most expensive roster in college football this year got you to 7-5.

If the market value for Pete is $7M why should we pay him more? If he wins big we will bump his pay the same way we did Lane.

AD doubled everyone’s pay in an attempt to keep them from leaving and was unsuccessful with all but two on the offensive staff

**doubled for the post-season. I know collecting all the details not just some of the details is hard.

Y’all are gonna be in buyout shitstorm #3 soon enough
Y’all better not let him sign a 3rd deal next week

I was told by Ole Miss fans that he was begging to go back to Oxford and wasn't returning to LSU.

Y’all just had to overpay to keep him for no reason other than you were feeling generous I guess?

re: Is having kids worth it?

If you’re on the fence the answer is yes

Even if you don’t the answer should be yes for at least 1.

It’s the biggest blessing in the world and you don’t understand until you have your own. No one regrets having kids when they are old and have a house full of grandkids and people that love them that they created.

The money you save and extra trips and things you can buy can’t replace what kids offer.
Chris Kiffin was the coach that infamously let Laremy Tunsil sleep on his couch when we got hammered by the NCAA under Freeze. Crazy how much the sport has changed since those days.

so pushed out at LSU with the new regime coming in, Ole Miss is thrilled to take the scraps.

 y'all “poached” him from us when he went to LSU… now he’s bad just because Ole Miss is offering him. Got it.
Living vicariously through the G5. A new low for gators.

Hope Tebow has a son for yall soon

They were going to keep Weis, Jr. He only signed a MOU at LSU.

Ole Miss is dumb for trying to get him to change his mind, finding out he wasn’t, and pivoting to another really good OC with multiple options to pick from… what clowns!

Only working in absolutes must be very tiring.
Yeah since you’re going to cherry pick from his media call here’s the rest you left out

He said he wants to keep everything as close to what the players are used to as possible to make sure he puts the team in the best situation to win. He’s called defense from the field and from the box at ole miss so he’s open to both depending on what they think will work best.

Said after the season is over at some point in January he will gladly do the big press conference but that’s not their focus right now.

There is a reason LSU has over 100k seating and Ole Miss has 64k. LSU just spends more. Yes, Ole Miss boosters have money. LSU has more boosters with the same or more funds.

You’ll never guess how many seats are in Indiana’s stadium. They just wrecked their league and aren’t a “blue blood”

A handful of organized boosters and a well run collective is all it takes now. The days of stacking 4-5 stars on the bench are over. Those kids are transferring to Indiana Vandy Ole Miss etc to play now.

Texas and Texas A&M consistently prove having the most money to burn doesn’t win shite.
No they can’t win because they aren’t a blue blood - Lane Kiffin
**2nd most expensive

Price is not the same as Rank

SEC championship game needs to be switched from championship to wildcard game.

Imagine Vandy vs TX playing this weekend to boost their playoff resume instead of this game.

If you could afford to pay the kind of money to compete consistently, you’d had a much bigger stadium you could fill.

 big stadiums?? What’s is this 1998??

Yeah recruits are lining up to play at Tennessee because it’s the biggest stadium in the SEC.. not because of their NIL deal and playing time.
Y’all sold your souls to land Kiffin after tarring and feathering BK on the way out and trying not to pay him what he was owed. Gov came out and said no more irresponsible contracts as he backed up the brinks truck to one of the most volatile coaches in the past 20 years

NIL has leveled the playing field as one of the very few level headed LSU posters mentioned above. Schools that are willing to pay high salaries and are in the top of the SEC for NIL money and more importantly organization will always be able to get good coaching.
