it wont be. We'll have gotten rid of the illegals, required national voter ID and without those 10 million cheating votes, the Dems will never again hold power.

If Trump's approval is still in the 30s he may get primaried by Kasich. More realistically Trump would just not run again.

I consider this thread to be an indication that some progressives have made it to the Bargaining Stage of the Stages of Grief.

Good job guys! Keep going!

Doubtful the progressive agenda was on the ballot and it wouldn't have gone well for any Democrat.

If Trump's approval rating is still at 37% in 3 years, it's not going to matter a whole lot who is running against him.

The way things are going, most democrats will be felons in 2020 and unable to vote

You are very delusional. Nothing will change. Trump will be a one term president. Elections aren't won on the fringes of either side. It's the middle of the road voters, they exist and outnumber both far right and far left, that decide races. The same voters who voted for Obama and switched to trump will go dem once again when a viable candidate is put forth.

Kasich would have beaten every Democratic challenger and easily would have been a two-term president if he'd gotten to the general. I'm a democrat who would have voted for him over Clinton.

Yes.

Rational responses please.

Ok. Still yes.

Biden was uniquely suited for Trump. Biden is a goof, but he can banter with the best of them; Trump's strongest weapon, his humor, would have been nullified.

Given a likable personality and a less contentious candidate, more (D)'s probably head to the polls, delivering a narrow win in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin -- enough to deliver 270 EC votes.

Possibly...but then you think back to the Paul Ryan debate where he made an laughing arse of himself. Too much of that would turn people away. Plus what would he run on policy wise? It would have been insulting to Obama to steer away from the no military, open border/terrorist third world country dream. While Hillary never had a message, it would have been Obama 2.0...Ultimate edition.

So do you believe trump will be one term if Biden runs ?
wont Biden be of like record age at that time? After four years of MAGA infrastructure and economic progress, trump should win re election. At this rate I see nothing on the ineffective left that can seriously challenge

How many of those who were " With Her" because " Its her turn" would show up to vote for an old white man who does not fit their identity check box. Hillary did not get all of the I voted for the black man block to turn out and Biden would not have either. What makes any one think he would draw the women voters ?

The country was ready for a change and it wanted a less traditional candidate regardless of party.

Fairly popular. No real controversy surrounding him. I mean, you got a mainstream blue collar type who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. That's a storybook, man. Also gets Obama voters because he is extending the legacy of the administration. Yeah, I think he would have beat Trump pretty soundly actually.

But it was her turn.

I think Biden would have won pretty easily. He could connect much better with the voters in the rust belt and he wouldn't have ignored them like Hillary did. Biden would have also energized the young vote and Obama supporters much more. I probably would have voted for him over the 2 shite sandwiches the parties gave us in Trump and Hillary.

He did not run against Trump thus his skeletons, which I am sure are profuse by his creeper actions, never really made it out of the closet. Thus since he did not get the scrutiny a Presidential candidate gets, much to your chagrin, you are left solely to pontificate the outcome...THANK GOD!
